the chance of getting a shiny in the wild is somewhere around a 1/8000 chance i cant remember the exact number
the other day i was breeding magbys and i got a yellow shiny magby is it the same chance of getting a shiny via breeding

Yes, the chance of shinies is the same in breeding (1/8192).
But, if using the Masuda Method, the chances are increased to 1/2048 chance.
