If you where wondering, I only have the HG and the SS games on ds at the moment as I am skint!

It's just a matter of chance. Everytime you battle a wild Pokemon, there's a 1 in 8192 chance that this Pokemon will be shiny. The only sure Shiny you can catch is the Red Gyarados.

There is also no Poke Radar in HG/SS, so chaining is not considerable.

It is like Everyone says there is a 1 in a 8,192 Chance of Encountering a Shiny Pokemon, I did manage to find More than 1 Rare Color on Platinum, My Real 1st Rare Color was a "Medittite" and this was on Platinum, and the other was in the same game same, saved State but there was a little bit of my own Error and Messed up Badly on Tryin to catch another Rare Color also this one was a "Buizel".

So In other and Conclusion Words there is More than 1 Rare color Pokemon's.

If there is a Comment about HG/SS about the "Red Gyarados" then that is just a Real Cuinsadince but not one of the Real Wild Rare Encounter in the Grass,Fishing,Caving in,Surfing in the Water/Stay in tall Buildings/Knock down Pokemon off the Tree/last but not least Getting your 1st Pokemon at Elm's Lab.
