Let me give my 2 cents worth.
Dragonite
Dragonite @ Leftovers
Trait: Multiscale
EVs: 144 HP/ 252 Atk/ 112 Spe
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -SpA)
-Dragon Dance
-Outrage
-Fire Punch
-Earthquake

This is the bulky yet speedy Dragonite that was meant to be. Some people are Dragon Claw guys, some people are Outrage guys. Go with outrage. The power of outrage is worth the confusion. 120 + STAB puts it as 180 Damage. With Dragonite's awesome attack stat and the ability to D-Dance, he becomes lethal. Fire Punch is good, as it has OK accuracy, and takes care of ferrothorn and forretress, who would otherwise wall Dragonite. It also takes care of scizor. (Just outrage the ice types, since a STAB Outrage at a couple of D-Dances proves more powerful) and earthquake is just an awesome Base 100 power move. You'll be fast, so you most likely won't need a priority move. If you want a full on 252 Atk/ 252 Spe/ 4 HP Dragon sweeper, go with the d-dancing Salamence or Haxorus, as they have higher speed.

Dragonite @ Dragon Gem

EVs:
Maxed or high Attack
10+ Speed
10+Defense
10+HP
Don't even bother with SA.

Moves:
Dragon Dance
Outrage
Stone Edge
E-quake(gets rid of annoying Poison Types trying to wear you down.)

Two links for you to visit. But I would recommend...

Dragonite @ Lum Berry / Leftovers
Trait: Multiscale
Evs: 252 Atk, 252 HP, 4 Spd
Nature: Adamant
Moves: Dragon Dance, Dragon Claw, ThunderPunch, Earthquake

Lum Berry heals status, or lefties is healing in general. Whatever you choose, multiscale helps you survive to set up a DD, then go for a coverage sweep with STAB.

Fire punch it gives better coverage, dragon claw deals with polioed ect, you need to hit pokemon like ferrothorn.
But Ice Types would destroy it without Fire Punch or Stone Edge.
Well, sorry.
Yeah, ferrothorn, scizor, and forretress.

K I see a lot of offensive variants but this one has a little more longevity at the cost of some power.

Dragonite @ Yache Berry/Leftovers
Trait: Multiscale
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
EVs: 252 Atk/ 180 HP/ 68 Spd
- Dragon Claw
- Fire Punch
- ExtremeSpeed
- Roost

this set abuses Multiscale to stay alive a long time and pick the perfect moment to launch a counter attack when put on the defense.
Yache Berry or Leftovers is really if you would rather not risk being KO'd by Dragonites only major (x4) weakness to Ice, and Mamoswine, Weavile, and Donphan can all use Ice Shard to stop Roosting to fix a broken Multiscale. Leftovers is for the those who worry less about Focus Sash Weavile landing an Ice Punch, or Starmie packing Ice Beam. Politoed on Rain Teams can also prove troublesome....

Dragon Claw is chosen over Outrage to avoid becoming locked into one attack and becoming and easy target for Ice Sharders.
Fire Punch provides coverage obvious coverage against Ferro and Scizor.
ExtremeSpeed is to help control the momentum and take the offensive back when you see an opportunity. it also protects against a predicted Ice Shard from a 1HP Focus Sashed opponent, hence we see the logic behind Dragon Claw > Outrage.

this is definitely better suited for Stall oriented teams, or teams that need something to provide decent walling ability while still packing plenty of punch.

Mine is in Soulsilver
My Dragonite is:

Nature:( I forgot )
Trait: (inner focus)
moves:

Dragon Dance
Outrage
Aqua Tail
ExtremeSpeed

As Giga said Outrage is worth the confusion, just try using a few dragon dance's before and he becomes quite a lethal Pokemon, Extremespeed can help as a finishing blow and Aqua Tail just serves as move to be used whenever
