Not sure if this has been suggested before but...

Yes, the DB has the rules page and stuff, but it seems like 90% of our users haven't read it. I for one find it pointless to have these "Rules" if people (New Users / Old Users) don't follow them. People are constantly asking on chat questions about how to do wimple things on this site, but if they would have taken the time to read the rules their questions would have been answered. I suggest a mandatory tutorial video for anyone who signs up for the DB which shows everything the DB has to offer so they will come on here without difficulties.

I've seen countless users get mad when there posts are hidden because they're not following the rules which they don't know because they haven't read the rule page. So the tutorial would help explain / show them what is / isn't tolerated in the DB.

Not only can this function be used by newer users, but for older users as well. I know from time to time I forget how to do things on here, and a nice tutorial video would be very helpful to refresh peoples memories.

Examples of common questions being asked on a daily basis.

• How do I post a picture?
• How do I post a question?
• What's RMT?
• What's a Moderator / Editor?
• How do you get banned?

And many more, but those are the main ones.

This tutorial doesn't have to be anything fancy, just enough for users to get the just of how things work here, and how to do simple things like make a RMT post, or Meta post, ect.

Interesting. I like the idea! It could cover chat. Like in one part people are talking about things like "Hey guys, what's your favorite Pokemon?" and another would be saying "Hey everyone, I just got Black 2!" or "{User} I challenge you to a battle!" Not that people actually talk like this on chat, but yeah. After, a "ding" sound would come, like the sound when you get an answer correct on a game show. Then there would be one with people spamming and writing in ALL CAPS. Then a "beep" noise would come. Like the noise when you get something wrong on a game show.
