Question

As in the other question, I'd like to hear what everyone else wants on the Pokebase, the community area.

By asking here, everyone can upvote each item so I know which are most popular. (That doesn't mean I will definitely do all the top suggestions, but it is more likely.) You can suggest anything that's been suggested before or anything new you think of. Rules:

• One suggestion per answer only. This way we can vote on individual features. If you have several suggestions, post multiple answers.
• This is for Pokebase only (including meta/RMT/chat) not the main site. There is a separate question for PokemonDb. Note: you can suggest other community-related features here.
• Vote up your favourite suggestions but please don't down-vote. If you don't like a suggestion just leave it alone.
• Don't suggest a general discussion forum, as I am going to do that at some point.

I will keep this open for a week or so and start work next weekend.

To repeat: this is for Pokebase and the other member areas, not the main site.

A whole diffrent way of RMT. Tier Sections would be awesome. A section for each teir to find questions easier.

Censor everywhere.

I believe the censor is everywhere. It is just limited in all sections in that variations of the base form of a swear are not censored on the site, a problem which I have noted before.
It does give me good reason to kick though, so I'm not complaining too much. :P

Light up the tab thing when someone posts on chat.

People go on Youtube and Facebook, etc while they're on the chat room, waiting for someone to post, so light up the little tab box so they know.

May seem stupid but a group kick thing where 5 registered users can kick 1 person. But only once every half-hour to prevent constint kicking. (I've seen us RUs been harasted by certin people)

Voted on, of course. Nominations. If 5 users nominate, it shows up on the nominated for next month / week page.

How about deleting your own posts. Instead of hidding them, if here's some reason you don't want ANYONE to see it, you can delete it.

Because it may cointain something you accedently clicked and is bad, offensive, or privite. Like your name.

This can be used to hide evidence of wrongdoings, making the job of the mod much more difficult. I think any good that can come of this suggestion is greatly outweighed by the bad.

A warning when a Mod/Editor Hides your Question.
Basically, they could click on a bubble thing to explain why the Q was hidden.
Example:
What is a Charizard Moveset?

they could have a choice that would look like this...

• Duplicate Q
○ Not pokemon related
○ Clearly can be looked up
○ Filler
○ Filler

with a Message saying something like...

Your answer has been hidden for the following reason(s):
Duplicate Q
(insert message of what the user should do)

That way, they don't have to get all the hate from users who don't know what they are doing.

Show how many times our Profile Page has been visited by Pokebase Users.

A bit like question views.

Show who's viewed your profile

Make it show who's been on your profile for the past day/week/month/two months+. Just a little suggestion.

A 'mark unresolved' button.

This should appear as button for the person who asked a question, or for yourself or a Mod. Once the button is pressed, an 'unresolved' icon should appear attracting people who know the correct answer or someone who can hide the answer that does not solve the question.

And there can be an unresolved questions section, perhaps as a subcategory of unanswered, similiar to the "no upvoted answer" or "no best answer" subsections.

Have it so that we can have "PokeBase E-Mail"

Let me make this more clear: This isn't suggesting that we get real E-Mail, but merely a way to send someone a message on their profile or something instead of commenting and have the chance that they won't look at it, or waiting forever in Chat for them to come on. The reason for this is so that some people can send other people messages without real E-Mail, because they don't have it or they don't want other people to know it, or whatever. It's kinda like Mike's PM'ing idea but you don't have to both be there at the same time.

For example:

Let's say I want to send user1 a message, telling him that I'm going to be gone for a week or whatever. Instead of writing it in my profile, when they might not look at it, I can send them a "message" and when they next come on there can be a pop-up saying You have a new message that way they'll have to look at it or at least know they have a message.

Now I'm sure many of you don't need this, but to some people it might come of use :)

Perhaps we could do a notifications system as well? This would probably keep track of the PMs you receive, and possibly notify you that you've been banned, had your username changed or whatnot. I like this idea, +1.

Ok if we are going to have a Private messaging service can we have a chat box which can be created which is like a PM but multiple users can join it.
There could be a button on chat that says 'Get a chat box'
This would be useful if you wanted a groups discussion but you don't want the rest of the chat room to see.
Just an idea.
