Question

Yes, 8,000 is a large amount. But for people like myself who like to write super-lengthy RMTs and stuff, the character limit becomes a pain.

This has gone long enough, been suggested enough and annoyed me enough.
If you're not comfortable with it, 15,000 is fine by me.
Just suggesting.

From what I've seen from my short time on this site is that often people will exceed the character limit in RMTs and in the lengthy posts here on Meta.
For the record, I read it all.

I exceeded the character limit on an answer on Rmt by almost 5000 characters :D

I have to delete CHUNKS and SECTIONS of my RMT out sometimes :/ This will definietly help. +1.

I write long questions but they never come close to that many charcters! I see how it could be a nice improvement though.

I agree, especially since Links count toward Characters as well. Very frustrating to create a good RMT and then be forced to cut it down; this should only be allowed in the BattleSubway/RMT Section. The Meta and Pokebase does not need it, only the RMT Section.

15000 is very reasonable.
