A Brand New Dream Team! Introducing Arceus The Type Coverage Master!

0 votes

Well, I'm ready, so let's get this started!

Dialga

@ Dragon Fang
EVs:252 Def 4 Spd 252 sp. def
Ability:Pressure
Lonely Nature
Moveset:
Iorn Tail
Dragon Pulse
Ice Beam
Stealth Rock

Well, I needed 7 diffrent type pokemon to cover everything efficently so I picked Dialga for it's steel and dragon types. I picked Dialga also for it's super strong defence stat. My plan is to have a pokemon picked for it's strong stat. Anyways, on to why I picked what. Iorn Tail is strong STAB, witch makes it have 150 power, witch is good for a 10 PP move. Dragon Pulse is also STAB, and I need a dragon move somewhere, plus it's boosted by my Dragon Fang I give it. Ice Beam is to cover the ground weakness, witch leaves fighting types as it's only weakness, but I'm not going to fix it. Ice Beam is better than Blizzard because of it 30% higher chance of the attack hitting the opponent. Stealth Rock is for my only hazard, plus it'll come out first, so this'll hit more opponents.

Electrode

@Cell Battery
Ability:Static
EVs: 252 Sp. Def 4 Attack 252 Sp. Attack
Calm Nature
Moveset:
Thunderbolt
Thunder Wave
Light Screen
Explosion

Well, this is my electric type pokemon, and also my pokemon to base on special defence. The Cell battery is for Electrode's poor attack stat with it's calm nature I put on him and it's 4 attack EVs. Static is just baws when it comes to this guy as your last hope, when that happens, this ability can go a long way. Thunderbolt is STAB, and I needed an electric type somewhere on this team and Electrodes have incredibly strong special defence, in fact the highest of all electric types, so he fit the job. Thunder Wave just makes a higher possibility of your opponents all being paralyzed. Witch is amazing. Light Screen covers for the 2 special attack EVs that I put on electrode. Explosion is unbeleavable when you have two pokemon and your enemy has one.

Breloom

@Life Orb
Ability:Effect Spore
EVs: 252 Attack 4 Defense 252 Sp. Attack
Nature:Lonely
Moveset:
Substitute
Focus Punch
Giga Drain
Swords Dance

This is my grass type. Also, if I can find a way to fit in a fighting type in this team, I'll definitly do it. This guy focuses on attack and has the best attack stat out of all grass type pokemon. Anyway, let's talk about why I choose this moveset. Substitute and focus punch is a combo that help when you need something strong and powerful, plus substitute by itself can help when this is your last hope. Giga Drain is STAB,(so is focus punch but I forgot to mention it)and covers a viriety of types while healing you, witch is a win-win for you. Swords Dance is to power up attack even more for strong powerhouse hit.

Darkrai

@Choice Scarf
Ability:Bad Dreams
EVs:252 Sp. Attack 252 Speed 4 Attack
Mild Nature
Moveset:
Dark Void
Dark Pulse
Psychic
Rock Slide

This is my special attack darkrai. He covers most of the types like dark, ghost, psychic, etc. Choice Scarf I had to slap on one of these and I won't be using two of them in the same battle a lot. Well, Dark Void can be very useful because just making your opponent sleep. But it also hurt the opponents with the bad dream ability! It's like making your opponent have a burn and a freeze in one move! Dark Pulse is my main move for darkrai that's a dark move, and it's given two giant bonuses due to STAB, and the huge special attack stat that this darkrai has. Psychic cover the main weakness, fighting, while rock slide covers the other smaller weakness, bug.

Wailord

@Lum Berry
Ability:Pressure
EVs: 252 HP 252 Attack 4 Defense
Jolly Nature
Moveset:
Water Spout
Ice Beam
Earthquake
Rest

This guy was supposed to be my staller because of it's very high HP stat but I needed to take care of that a ground move (Exeption of Arceus) wasn't in the 5 others movesets. Plus I obviously I needed a water move in here so why not put it on a water type pokemon for great STAB. That's practictly the whole reason I wanted water spout on my wailord. Ice Beam is coverage of grass, plus I just feel like I need a ice type move on my water pokemon. Rest heals myself and lum berry solves the sleeping problem. Earthquake covers electric types.

Arceus-Fire

@Flame Plate
Ability:Mulitype
EVs:252 SP. Attack 252 Speed 4 Attack
Timid Nature
Moveset:
Overheat
Brick Break
Ice Beam
Earthquake

All of these are for type coverge. I took advantage of it's wide moveset. I made this guy and Darkrai both sp. attack and speed because they're both good at both.

This is it! If anyone has any suggestions please comment or answer!

Ground Weakness
Ice beam
Um... this team has many, many flaws.
Choice Scarf Dark Void xD
mostly everything weak to fighting/ice.
Yeah..... That's why I want suggestions.
Actually, B3N, Scarf Darkrai has some uses, as it can Void, then switch. Plus it outspeeds Mewtwo. Or it can Trick.
BTW it's just two pokemon that are weakened to fighting and Darkrai knows Psychic.
is not better Flying-type Arceus?
tk why is this team weakened to ice? Breloom is the only one weak to it.
Why would I need a flying type arceus, Darkrai's psychic already finishes the fighting weakness(Witch only two pokemon are weak to on this)?
Anybody want to answer?
Electrode may be the worst Special Wall in history of Ubers, and of fully-evolved Pokemon. He is wayy too frail.
What else has a good special defence stat and is an electric type of some sort?
The rotom forms... well, most of them.
Oh, yeah. Thanks LeBoss.
The Rotom's HP stat ruins their defensive bulk. So they aren't really that bulky, actually.

Ok, my first time rating... but I'm OK at Ubers.

Im gonna switch out a couple of Pokemon because thy really do not belong in Ubers. these pokemons are Breloom, Electrode, and Wailord. they will be switched out for Lugia, Forretress, and Palkia. Also, Arceus will have a different form. Let's get started...

Dialga:
Dialga
Item: Leftovers
EV's: 252 HP, 100 Defense, 154 Attack
Ability: Pressure
Nature: Impish
Moveset:
Rest
Sleep Talk
Bulk Up
Outrage
So, what we want here is a SleepTalk set. Rest is your form of recovery. Sleep talk is pretty obvious. Bulk Up is awesome. This dude will be taking physical hits like nothing after 2-3 bulk-ups. Outrage is your attacking move, so 1.) you don't become Taunt bait and 2.) hit everything like a truck. I mean, nothing will be taking an Outrage easily if you got in 2-3 Bulk-ups. The blobs (Chansey and Blissey) have Horrible defense, Giratina is weak to Dragon, and Multiscale Lugia will still get hit pretty hard by this. The only things you should watch out for are Groudon and something with a Special Fighting move. other than that, your set to go.

Lugia:
Lugia
Item: Leftovers
EV's: 200 HP, 252 Sp.Def, 56 spe
Ability: Multiscale
Nature: Timid/Calm
Thunder-wave
Roost
Earth Power
Substitute/ Ice Beam/ Whirlwind

Alright, here's my freakin baby. One of the most blessed pokemon's with arguably one of the best abilities in the book, Multiscale.
So T-wave is there to make common scarfers such as Palkia and Terrakion (sometimes Mewtwo) become easier to deal with. come in on a Palkia's Earth Power, Terrakion's EQ or Close Combat, and a Mewtwo's Psystrike, and you get a free T-Wave on them. If not, the next pokemon in line will recieve it. The Speed EV's give it just enough speed to outrun and T-wave a couple of things. Roost is just awesome on Lugia. 50% percent of its health is not joke. Now add the leftovers revovery and you have some nice, reliable, recovery. Earth Power is not become death fodder (if you chose substitute or Whirlwind)) and helps take care of some threats, such as Terrakion (if paralyzed). Sub is just to piss of people when the use a weak attack against Lugia, put up a sub, heal it of next turn with roost, and you basically become quite invincible. Ice Beam is if you want to have 2 attacking moves, and mess aroung with all the Dragon types lurking in Ubers. Whirlwind is here to screw the other team over with Entry Hazards, which leads us to our next pokemon... the god of hazard setting...

Forretress
Forretress
Item: Red card/ Leftovers/ Lum Berry
EV's: 252 HP, 248 Defense, 8 attack
Ability: Sturdy
Nature:Impish
Moveset:
Spikes
Stealth Rocks
Rapid Spin
Earthquake

Alright, if you are like me and get Haxed every time this dude is out, then choose Lum Berry as your item. Anyways, Spikes and Stealth rock are to put up hazards (DUH). Rapid Spin ice nice on this guy, to help your team get rid of EH (entry hazards). Earthquake is just there to not make you taunt bait or to pick off a weak opponent after EH's are set up.

Darkrai:
Darkrai
Item:Focus sash
EV's: 252 Speed, 252 Sp.Attack, 4 def
Ability: Bad Dreams
Nature: Timid
Moveset:
Dark Void
Nasty Plot
Dark Pulse
Focus Blast

Ok, a Focus Sash set. Dark Void is for Obvious reasons... Nasty Plot is to set up while they sleep or to get a free boost while they switch out. Dark pulse is STAB and Focus Blast is for coverage. Note that nothing in OU or Ubers resists a Fighting + Dark combo. Only Herracross does, who lurks in UU. So you should be safe.

Palkia:
Palkia
Item: Choice scarf
EV's: 252 speed, 252 Sp.attack, 4 HP
Ability: Pressure
Nature: Timid
Moveset:
Fire Blast
Hydro Pump/Surf
Thunderbolt
Spacial Rend/ Draco Meteor

This dude is Possibly one of the Best scarfers in Ubers. And it's notable why when it has a 150 Base Special attack stat. Well, Fire Blast is coverage. Hydro Pump and Surf are STAB (only choose one water move). While Hydro Pum has mor Power, Surf has more reliability. THunderbolt is to make sure that Kyogre is not a threat to this team. Spacial Rend and Draco Meteor are Stab. Note that while Draco Meteor has mor power, it lowers your Sp.attack stat. knowing that Palkia is scarfed, he wont be staying in long if a faster thrat comes along. But Still, Spacial Rend is prefered here, since it's more reliable, and has a high crit rate.

Now, for the Arceus we have all been waiting for...

Arceus:
Item: Life Orb/Leftovers
EV's: 252 attack, 244HP, 12 speed.
Ability: Multitype
Nature: Adamant
Moveset:
Swords Dance
Recover/Earthquake
Shadow Claw
Extremespeed

Pretty basic, yet destructive XtremeKiller Arceus set. Swords Dance just lets you Kill everything around you. Recover is only necessary if you are running Life Orb and dont want to let this dude die quickly. Shadow claw is to make sure that Giratina and Lugia dont come out and start trolling, which they are very good at. EQ is here to deal with Pest such as Reshiram, Zekrom, and Heatran. Extremespeed is just the icing on the cake, being (arguably) the best Normal move that Arceus an have. Also, Priority PWNS in Ubers. The 12 speed EV's were her so you could outspeed tricky arceus that use * speed IV's to outrun the original 4 speed EV XtremeKiller Arceus.

One thing that should be Mentioned is a fighting weakness, but not that bad...
there ya go. hope you like this.

i will never be as good as you are at this kind of stuff.
Lol, im not as good as some other people... but thanks
Techniloom is actually a decent Pokemon in Ubers.
