The DB League / Tournament Battle Replays!

6 votes

Any DB League or Tournament Battle should be posted here. This does not mean you must post every one of your DB league battles here :P
Keep in mind that Battle Replays can always be Posted on your RMTs as well :3
Also note that this is where hax issues are addressed.
You must have your opponent's permission or all battlers in the video must be knocked out (or won the entire tournament) of the tournament in order for Tournament videos to be posted.

None of the tournaments in my memory have ever had that as a rule. I've been changing my teams up constantly as I realize that x doesn't work well or I forgot to deal with y. Plus it gives the opponent an advantage in that if the person in the video has any surprise moves, it would no longer be a surprise. Rotom-W has HP Fire with Fire Gem. I know that because of a video, so I'm going to be extra careful with my Ferrothorn.

I will say permission from opponent or if both people in the video have been knocked out of the tournament. So all you have to do is wait. No real problem on the end of the poster and potentially allows the winner in the video to pull out that epic surprise which wins them the tournament.
Wait wait wait, trachy, there is no changing in any form of tournament play. Never has. Yugioh, Magic, Pokemon, Football, etc. The team / deck does not change.

And the being careful part isn't giving you an edge. Anyone can do that. Football players do it. I do it when I go to Yugioh tournaments. Expect the unexpected, some might say.

(JS, That Rotom wouldn't KO. Unlikely even at +1.)
Never part of the rules for the tournaments, so we can change teams.

And you no longer need to expect the unexpected because you now know the unexpected. You make your plays knowing the opponent's moves, items, and from that their spreads. You just knocked out a huge part of battling and now have a major advantage over your opponent. Your plays now have far less risk involved in making them, leaving your opponent's ability to predict the only risk there is. Of course, they're at a major disadvantage in that regard, as they don't know your team composition as well as you know theirs.

I'm just making sure nobody has an unfair advantage over the other. Just ask your opponent for permission and if they don't want to compromise their team, just wait the few weeks for them to lose or win. Honestly not that big a deal.

(+1 252+ SpA Fire Gem Rotom-W Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 168 SpD Ferrothorn: 496-584 (140.9 - 165.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO, 252+ SpA Fire Gem Rotom-W Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 168 SpD Ferrothorn: 332-392 (94.31 - 111.36%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock)
I'm referring to full SDef EVs.
You mean a non-standard Ferrothorn?

+1 252+ SpA Fire Gem Rotom-W Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Ferrothorn: 424-500 (120.45 - 142.04%) -- guaranteed OHKO

No +1 means that Stealth Rock is needed for a small chance to OHKO, but again, full on Special Defense is not the standard for any of Ferrothorn's sets.

You can post tourney battles here? Sweet.

The Metronome Smeargle tourney winning battle!

In this tourney, you had to use a team of 6 Smeargle that know only Metronome, have the ability Moddy and hold the Leppa Berry or nothing in case you didn't know.

Smeargles hate me, but they seem to hate Mew more. ;3

GG Mew :)

This was a damn good match.

FizzSwift~ vs. Ninja in Hacked Ablities

Misplayed with Ambipom on my part, should've switched to Gar and nerfed Keldeo pronto. Good game Fizz.

My team:

Normalize Gar (Skill Swap)
Mold Break Haxorus
Normalize Ambipom (Technically I lost by default, but it didn't really affect the outcome.)
Levitate Raikou
Mummy Rotom Microwave
No Guard Moltres

Of course, I lost to a Rain team :|

If Fizz had a Modest nature on Keldeo, than Keldeo has a 43.75 chance to OHKO without the crit.
Now my team seems stupid
lol DF :P
