Conkeldurr has three abilities all of which are useful and all of which can be used with his strong physical moveset and stats.

Guts

I personally like using Conkeldurr as what is called a Status Absorber. This means I can switch him into expected Will-O-Wisps and Toxics and get a powerful Guts boost without wasting my item slot. You may not be statused for the round which you may htink is a waste of his ability but he still hits hard anyway.

Conkeldurr @ Expert Belt
Trait: Guts
EVs: 128 HP / 252 Atk / 128 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Ice Punch
- Mach Punch
- ThunderPunch

This set can also be used with his Iron Fist ability. I prefer a different moveset for Iron Fist which i'll give you here in a moment. ThunderPunch and ice Punch can get you incredible coverage as a pseudo BoltBeam set. This allows you to round off the set with STAB Drain Punch and STAB Priority Mach Punch. Expert Belt allows you to fake a Band and people will switch a Jellicent into an Ice Punch only to get 2HKO by ThunderPunch.

Iron Fist

There are two sets i've seen used in Iron Fist both of which I like tremendously.

Conkeldurr @ Choice Band
Trait: Iron Fist
EVs: 172 HP / 252 Atk / 76 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Payback
- Ice Punch

This set can 2HKO Utility Rotom-W even when burned. Power to the max. EVs allow it to survive hits from Alakazam and KO with Payback. Jellicent can't do squat unless it gets the burn from Scald.

Conkeldurr @ Leftovers
Trait: Iron Fist
EVs: 120 HP / 252 Atk / 136 SDef
Serious Nature
- Substitute
- Mach Punch
- Ice Punch
- Focus Punch

This SubPunch set gets decent coverage (misses out on Jellicent and Starmie) but it is the true definition of power. Focus Punch gets STAB, Iron Fist boost, and is coming off of Conkeldurr's maxed out attack.

252+ Atk Iron Fist Conkeldurr Focus Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Starmie: 195-230 (74.71 - 88.12%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Most people expect Conkeldurr to be running guts so they won't give him status. By the time they realize it's Iron Fist, Game Over.

Sheer Force

While definitely the most underused of Conk's abilities it is quite strong. With Life Orb and the right moveset you will be hurting many pokemon on the switch-ins and outs.

Conkeldurr @ Life Orb
172 HP / 252 Atk / 76 SDef
Adamant Nature
Trait: Sheer Force
- Ice Punch
- ThunderPunch
- Drain Punch
- Fire Punch/Stone Edge/Earthquake

Sheer Force negates the recoil damage of Life orb when using moves that have a secondary effect. In this set that's everything but Earthquake. With Ice Punch and ThunderPunch you again have a pseudo BoltBeam coverage and with Drain Punch as STAB you can select on of the third moves. Whatever works for you. Be warned, this set cannot heal which is why it's one of the Underused sets. Drain Punches healing effect is negated through Sheer Force. Still powerful though :3

Those are some suggestions, next time your making a team you can search up pokemon on Smogon to get an idea of some sets. There EVs are generally straightforward but that'll work until you get into the higher tiers of battling.
