This basically was screwing with my brain while I made this team.
Alruros (Politoed) (M) @ Red Card
Trait: Drizzle
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)
- Substitute
- Payback
- Ice Punch
- Waterfall
The creativity launched off and I started thinking out of the box a bit too much. Here comes a slow and bulky physical tank Politoed. The red card lets whatever opponent is trying to hit me get dumped out while I set up a sub. Then I have Ice Punch ( dragons, gliscor, etc. ) I can abuse Waterfall as STAB. And I have Payback as nice coverage that gets 100 base power when I move second.
Raginosu (Krookodile) (M) @ Salac Berry
Trait: Moxie
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Bulk Up
- Low Kick
- Earthquake
- Crunch
Low kick makes those big bulky things go down. Specifically physical bulky T-tar trying to take my Earthquakes like some kind of stud. Earthquake is STAB. Bulk up is all out for the attack boost, but if used on a physical opponent is nice for setting up. My Raginosu likes taking major damage for that salac boost. Crunc is back up STAB.
Mugarisey (Yanmega) (F) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Tinted Lens
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Rash Nature (+SAtk, -SDef)
- Bug Buzz
- Air Slash
- Shadow Ball
- U-turn
Mugarisey surprises her opponents with the lack of Speed Boost. Instead I threw a scarf on her along with Tinted Lens, an excellent ability. Bug Buzz is STAB, Air Slash is STAB with flinching. Shadow Ball is coverage. U-turn gives a nice ( always neutral ) revenge kill switch out. A nice little bug.
Forantos (Blastoise) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Rain Dish
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Dragon Tail
- Scald
- Rapid Spin
- Mirror Coat
Forantos can tank up. Him and my other little ninja turtle are my tanks. Dragon Tail can phaze after le turtle #2 sets up rocks. Scald sets burns encouraging special attackers to come out. 252 HP lets special attack not kill me, and lets me shoot back a heavy powered Mirror Coat. Rapid Spin clears out enemy hazards.
Datrugona (Kyurem) @ Life Orb
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Earth Power
- Dragon Pulse
- Ice Beam
- Shadow Ball
Datrugona is the most standard of them all. A Life orb sweeper with a timid nature. Fast enough to out speed some common non-scarf sweepers and kill with deadly dual STAB and nice coverage.
Brutizenis (Torkoal) (F) @ Fire Gem
Trait: White Smoke
EVs: 252 Def / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Stealth Rock
- Yawn
- Overheat
- Will-O-Wisp
Brutizenis is my other turtle. Fire Gem + Overheat kills Ferrothorns and Scizors. Yawn helps phaze. Stealth Rock sets nice hazards. Will-O-Wisp puts burns on opponents to cripple physical sweepers. He's already nice and physically bulky as well.
