First ever Sun Team.

Fire (Ninetales) (M) @ Life Orb

Trait: Drought
EVs: 96 HP / 252 SAtk / 160 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)

  • Flamethrower
  • Energy Ball
  • Hidden Power [Water]
  • Rest

Being a Sun Team, I need a sun setter. Ninetails is mine. Flamethrower is its STAB, and it's pretty powerful in Sun. Flamethrower also has great accuracy. I've decided to use Energy Ball over Solar Beam, because Energy Ball is just more reliable. Hidden Power takes care of my weaknesses, (along with Energy Ball) and Rest is for healing.

HaS (Forretress) (F) @ Leftovers

Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)

  • Stealth Rock
  • Spikes
  • Rapid Spin
  • Volt Switch

Two of my team is weak to rocks, to Forretress here is to spin them away. and then set up her own Rocks, along with some Spikes. Volt Switch is to get outta there.

WA Poli (Politoed) (M) @ Choice Specs

Trait: Water Absorb
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)

  • Scald
  • Hidden Power [Fire]
  • Ice Beam
  • Focus Blast

Once I saw Riles Water Absorb Politoed, I was like: "I have to try that out." So here it is. Politoed just goes in there, gets the water move that could be aiming for Darmanitan or Ninetails, and sucks it up. Then he attacks. Scald is just there incase of a weather change. Hidden Power Fire is boosted by Sun. Ice Beam is for Grass types that get in the waym can Focus Blast is just plain powerful.

Attack (Darmanitan) (F) @ Choice Band

Trait: Sheer Force
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)

  • Flare Blitz
  • Earthquake
  • Hammer Arm
  • Stone Edge

Woot! Darmanitan. Really strong, and pretty fast. Flare Blitz is his powerful STAB. Earthquake for fellow fire types. Hammer Arm is another power house move, and so is Stone Edge.

SL Time (Venusaur) (F) @ Leftovers

Trait: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 HP / 104 SDef / 152 Spd
Hardy Nature

  • Leech Seed
  • Energy Ball
  • Substitute
  • Synthesis

SubSeed Venusaur. Pretty basic set, Substitute and Leech Seed for obvious reasons. Energy Ball for STAB, and Synthesis for reliable healing in sun.

Fast (Sawsbuck) (F) @ Life Orb

Trait: Chlorophyll
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)

  • Horn Leech
  • Nature Power
  • Retaliate
  • Jump Kick

Sawsbuck gets insane speed with 252 EVs in speed, Timid Nature, and Chlorophyll. Not many Pokes can outspeed this guy. Horn Leech or power and healing, main STAB move. Nature Power turns into Earthquake, so it's good. Retaliate is to revenge kill, and Jump Kick is for coverage.

Hidden Power Water won't do anything in Sun.
Didn't even notice that. I also recommend switching Stone Edge for U-Turn.
On Darmanitan, that is.
@UP: OMG I can't believe I missed that xD

First ever sun team for doctor FLAME?!?!!? Well! Let's make it a good one!

As said in the comments, HP water will be useless in the sun, doing about 35 BP. XD
If you want something to take care of other fire types, you could try HP ground, but what I'd suggest would be Will-O-Wisp, to cripple physical attackers and keep you safe from physical attacks, seeing that ninetales doesn't have the greatest physical defense. Other than that, if you were willing you could take out flamethrower and put in Fire Blast, but that's up to you. Otherwise, good lead.

Looks good, he's a popular guy for the job of getting in entry hazards. However, being that you're in the sun, no matter how bulky Forretress is, fire will kill him. Keep it in mind when you're thinking about using volt switch, that you're probably not the faster Pokemon. Otherwise, good set.

Good set, just keep in mind that Scald isn't going to be as powerful as you think because of the sun. I'm assuming your main purpose for scald is to burn. He looks pretty powerful, and specs can really damage the opponent.

darmanitanDarmanitandarmanitan

Two words: Life Orb. Darmanitan takes NO recoil damage from the life orb because of his ability Sheer Force. This way you can also use your different moves. Speaking of moves, Hammer Arm? Try superpower. Chances are you're going to switch out Darmanitan after you use Hammer Arm because of his speed loss. So why not make it more powerful? Also, U-turn is a very good move, so, probably instead of stone edge. (Blegh, horrible accuracy)

venusaurVenesaurvenusaur

Yeah, this guy is used all the time. Leftovers? Try Black Sludge. People always forget Venesaur is part poison. Since you already have lots of grass type attacks, you could switch energy ball for Sludge Bomb, and if you wanted, HP fire. This guy looks good.

Can't say I know much about this guy. Looks good if you ask me, but you might want to throw in Aromatherapy if you're looking to heal your pokemon. This guy also has plenty of weaknesses, so be weary... Best of luck to you and those of you on your sun team!!!
