I am searching for a way to get around slow start. He would know return, confuse ray, stone edge, and earthquake with the item leftovers.

First you set up with trick room. Because it last for 5 turns that will fix his speed problem. Start confusing them and keep on fighting till it wears off because when it wears off POW! even with half attack he still isn't bad 80 base attack isn't terrible. I decided that his attack was way to good to pass on.

He's perfect in double battle. You could also stall out for a few more turns if you have protect. But I said he's perfect in double battles because you can give your partner the move gastro acid or worry seed to negate his ability. Worry seed is fine seeing as he doesn't learn rest.
