  • Ice Beam/Blizzard
  • Hidden power [ground]
  • Shadow Ball/Substitute
  • Hail/Wish

Pretty simple set. Ice beam/Blizzard gives STAb if you want to go with hail, HP ground covers rock, steel, and ground all at one, shadow ball gives support, and the rest is pretty easy to figure out.

What about Frost Breath over Ice beam/Blizzard? Because Frost breath scores a critical hit all the time.
So? Why would you always want a crit? It doesn't matter.
With 40 power, a crit only brings you up to 80 power. Less than both Ice Beam and Blizzard, and still lacking perfect accuracy.
Actually, you're right. I just remembered since its power only doubles when it lands a critical it's no match for ice beam. I just thought it would be handy.
Thanks for pointing that out. :)
Although I heard from trachy that crits bypass all stat boosts. Maybe that's why people use it.
Makes sense

Water Pulse-for rock and fire types

Gen V

Glaceon (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Snow Cloak
EVs: 252 Def / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Water Pulse
- Blizzard
- Shadow Ball
- Signal Beam

is there a TM signal beam?
I think this moveset would be for Gen IV. Glaceon can't learn Water Pulse in Gen V, tell me if I'm wrong.

My glaceon is kinda different but the same as other movesets so here goes

Barrier: max this out to go with mirror coat

Mirror coat: after max barrier opponents will probably go with special so this works

Ice Beam: classic ice STAB

Hidden power(ground): covers most if not all weaknesses

Im getting a glaceon from dream world soon!
Item: Leftovers Ability: Snow Cloak
Modet Nature
Moves:
Hail (boosts accuracy of blizzard, raises evasiveness with ability)
Blizzard (STAB- goes well with hail)

Hail Team Glaceon

Glaceon - Timid (^Speed -Atk) # Choice Specs/Leftovers
Snow Cloak / Ice Body (DW)
+ 252 Sp Atk EVs / 200 Speed EVs / 58 HP EVs

  • Blizzard (100% accuracy in Hail, STAB, just really powerful)*

  • Hail (JUST in case someone cancels out your wonderful Hail)

  • Substitute/Protect (If you get the chance to set up Only with Leftovers and Ice Body, where you will heal enough HP to actually Sub up, otherwise get Barrier, again, if you get the chance to set up)

  • Shadow Ball/Wish/ (You should get Wish, if with Protect, and if not, get Shadow Ball just for some extra coverage)

The idea behind this Glaceon is one of two choices basically.

Either Spam Blizzard until death with Choice Specs (make sure you use PP Max on Blizzard if this is your option)

~ or ~

Just have a normal type of Glaceon with whatever strategies you have in store for it.
Glaceon may not be useful in these situations, but you can also take advantage of its great Sp. Attack. ~

Status Inducing Move; Yawn: Causes Sleep, or Toxic: Poison foe
Weakness Move; Hidden Power or Dig: covers ground, rock, and steel
Type Move; Ice Beam: ice move with the most power and will never miss
Extra Move; Shadow Ball: 80 power

Equip with Lum Berry to protect from the first status attack
or
NeverMeltIce to power up Ice Beam

Hope I helped :)

EVs, Natures? At least give Roles!
You have broken the rules several times, despite me saying it to you. You deserve my down-vote.
EVs, Natures, and roles are not needed for moveset questions, only for RMT. They are preferred however, meaning it is unlikely they will be voted up if they do not have them.

I know this is a little old but here it is:
Glaceon (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Ice Body
EVs: 252 Def / 252 SDef / 4 HP
Modest Nature
- Hail
- Blizzard
- Protect
- Toxic

This is a role played for stalling.
Hail is to help heal herself while making Blizzard hit no matter what, as Blizzard is her STAB move. Toxic as her stall move and protect so it can help her regain health while blocking a move and slightly injuring an enemy during Hail.

For a hail team staller:
Ability: Snow Cloak
EVs: 128 sp atk, 188 def, 188 sp def, and 6 hp
Nature: Bold (+ defense, - attack)
@Leftovers
- Blizzard (100% accuracy in hail)
- Shadow Ball (coverage)
- Double Team (makes you even more elusive)
- Toxic (ultimate stalling move)
With the high defenses of this Glaceon, you should be able to pull this off in a hailstorm (obviously this isn't the lead of your hail team with this moveset). If you find yourself needing to fight back more conventionally, blizzard and shadow ball cover all types besides most steel types, and are very powerful with Glaceon with it's immense special attack. The strategy is basically to become pretty much un-hittable with snow cloak and double team, and then your opponent won't be able to retaliate from toxic. If you don't think you need shadow ball you can replace it with protect but I don't like to have less than two damaging attacks.
