What happens if Nintendo sells so many 3DSs that there are no possible friend codes left?(please read description)?

How would that affect safaris?

This won't happen. The combinations of codes far exceeds the population of the planet.

If it could happen, then I suppose that there could be a few options:

1.) find a way of increasing combinations of codes

2.) simply let overlapping codes fail

3.) don't interlink friend safaris with future games, so codes can be used in new games without being any trouble when connecting those two games (assuming same gen)

ok then -_- i was talking hypathetically though lol
I edited it, sorry about that :P
thanks :-)
Just add a single extra digit to Friend Codes from then on if they were to ever run out.
↑ Another possible solution right there.
Btw nice to see you answering questions again PX :3
Or just introduce alphabetical letters into the friend code
