Why are some hidden abilities on Showdown lined out?

I have found lines through the hidden abilities of some Pokemon on Showdown. There are quite a lot so I won't list them all, but they come in groups, for example the Johto starters, legendary birds, legendary dogs and so on.

I was just wondering what these meant. Does it mean they can't have those abilities in X and Y any more?

It means they're unable to be obtained legally in Pokemon - ie. unreleased

So basically, you can't use them.

That means those abilities are unreleased and cannot be obtained in any generation without hacking.
