What's going on with this Pokemon's stats?

I've been breeding Skorupi. The best stats have been between 5-6 for every one of them except for when they have a nature. So this one has a Jolly nature, so it's SpAtt stat is 4 and it's Speed is 6. But it's Defence is 7, not 6. What's up with that? Is it IV's or random chance?

Well the Sp Atk is 4 because it is hindered by the Jolly nature.
The Speed is 6 because it is boosted by the Jolly nature.
The Defense is 7 because naturally Skorupi has a high base defense of 90!

The defense stat may also have good IVs. You can check IVs by talking to a man in the Kiloude City Pokecenter.
