Would the Pokewalker work with Diamond?

Let's say a friend gave me a brand new pokewalker that came with his HeartGold would it work on my Diamond?

No, it would not. The pokewalker is exclusivity compatible with HG/SS. There is no way to make it work for any other game. Sorry!
