How do you make eggs?

You put a male and a female in the day care but they should be in the same egg group (if they aren't there will be no egg), and you can also put a ditto in (it doesn't madder what egg group it is with ditto).

The female Pokemon (or if you use Ditto, whatever the non-Ditto one is) will hatch from the egg.

Okay, so first you must put two compatible parents in the Day-Care on Route 3.
See here.
Then, wait until you get an egg. If the man outside says that they don't play with each other AT ALL, the parents are not correct. Or, maybe you have 2 males, or 2 females.
