What is a good sharpedo moveset?

This is what I have, got it in a trade.

Earthquake- nothing more needs to be said.

hidden power (flying)-covers all of sharpedo's other weaknesses, this move did a lot more damage than I thought it did. I'm not sure exactly, I may put it in an IV calculator to figure out its base power. But it's special, not physical, so it's not at its full potential with sharpedo.

Crunch-Stab, good power

waterfall-STab, good power

Well, that an EXcellent moveset but if you want, I found Avalanche can be helpful for Sharpedo.
Crunch or Night Slash(good STAB move depending on whether or not you trust the higher critical hit ratio)
Waterfall(STAB power)
Avalanche(for Grass wekaness)
Earthquake or that Hidden Power(whichever one you found more useful)

Hope this helps!

Avalanche is okay, but Sharpedo has pretty good Speed. I think Ice Fang might be a better choice due to chance of Flinch or Freeze.
Thanks. I think I'll keep crunch, I;m not lucky enough for a critical hit. I also  think I'll keep the hidden power because grass types are also weak to flying, they'll never see it coming...
I never teach my Pokemon Hidden Power because I find it too unpredictable. However it seems to work well for you, so I would keep on using it.
THe type and power of hidden power is based on your pokemon's IVs. My friend is really good at finding just the right type for each pokemon.

Adamant Nature Sharpedo with Item Life Orb. Ability Speed Boost. EVs 252 Attack / 252 Speed / 4 HP.

Aqua Jet: Come in on a weakened Pokemon for the revenge kill with stab priority and get the speed boost. Works like Protect on other sets.

Waterfall: Good STAB with a nifty flinch chance if that would be needed.

Crunch: STAB and rounds out coverage.

Zen Headbutt/Earthquake Zen Headbutt allows Sharpedo to take care of threats it normally couldn't like Poliwrath and Throh.
Earthquake gets some coverage and neutral hit on opposing Sharpedos.

This is for the new Speed boost Sharpedo.

Protect-let's him stall and build up his speed.

Earthquake-Good move for type coverage.

Crunch-STAB; breaks through Dusclops. Night Slash is a good alternative if you want to chance the Critical hit.

waterfall/Aqua Jet-Waterfall is there for power, and Aqua jet is there if you want priority before he gets major speed boosts from his ability.

Here is my Sharpedo Moveset preffered to be used in the UU Metagame, but works in the OU Metagame:

Sharpedo (M)@Life Orb
Trait: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 164 SAtk / 92 Spd
Naughty Nature (+Atk, -SDef)
- Protect
- Waterfall
- Crunch/Earthquake
- Ice Beam

This Sharpedo is nice, because with the provided EV Spread and Ice Beam, Sharpedo is able to 2HKO defensive variants of Zapdos and Shaymin, while nails threats like Darmanitan and Victini for a likely OHKO. Protect makes me get a free Speed Boost, and allows to scout Choiced Pokes to see what they'll use. Waterfall is STAB with a nice Flinch chance. Crunch is also STAB, but due to poor coverage, Earthquake can be considered for this moveslot. Ice Beam covers Flygon, Zapdos, Grass Types, and Physical Walls. Beware of Bronzong though. EVs give it enough SAtk to 2HKO Specially Defensive Zapdos and Shaymin, while having max Attack and goood enough Speed.

Evs 252 attack, 252 speed, 4hp Nature Jolly

E-quake(Covers electric)

Crunch/Nightslash(STAB)

Waterfall(STAB)

Ice fang(For grass weakness)

Bounce is an option but two turn moves are bad idea's they give the oponent a free switch and a chance to set up.

Mixed sweeper.

Waterfall / Surf-STAB

Crunch / DarkPulse -STAB

- Earthquake-Powerful move.

Ice Beam/Hidden power [flying]-Type coverage. Hp covers all of his weakness save for electric (which is covered with earthquake.) or use Ice beam which won't deal with bugs or fighting pokemon, but can deal with dragons.

If you are not happy with Hidden Power, you can also teach it Bounce by Move Tutor. Otherwise, this is probably the best possible moveset for Sharpedo.
