No, try either one of these movesets:

  1. Normal moveset.

Night Slash: Used to deal with Ghost types, decent damage, good chance for critical hit, high accuracy.

Zen Headbutt: STAB, good power, decent accuracy, decent chance to cause flinching.

Leaf Blade: The best Physical Grass type attack. A great move.

Brick Break: Better than Drain Punch. More damage, more PP, can break through Light Screen and Reflect.

  1. This moveset makes use of stopping your foe from attacking, allowing for a powerful Focus Punch. I find it more reliable than Substitute on a fast Pokemon.

Focus Punch
Swagger
Thunder Wave
Attract

Kinda frank in your response but a good move-set, thanks
That move set can't do anything to ghost types
There is always going to be a foe that you can't beat. Most types are still beaten by this.
You know the Attract+Focus Punch combo! Cool!

Swords Dance-Raises its attacks to insane levels

Close Combat- He has low defense, the stat lowering won't make much of a difference.

Night slash-Deal with ghosts, decent power, high critical hit chance

earthquake-You knew it was coming.

Try this Strategy
Start with Subsitute, then use focus punch, plus Gllade will get STAB. If you don't want this, use Close Combat or Drain pUnch instead.
Psycho Cut(STAB psychic move when subsitute, focus punch doesnt work.
Swords Dance or Leaf Blade(to raise attack or cuz its an awesome move)

Try this - (its very simple but works for me)

-Psycho Cut / Zen Headbutt(if you hold the zoom lens)
-Close Combat (Obvious)
-Reflect (To cover the close combat d lose)
-Ice Punch (flying, ground, dragon, grass - isnt that enough)

It can hold either life orb or leftovers

This is the Gallade I fear.
Fear Itself, fears this Gallade.
That's how effective and powerful it is.
Ah my Peanutbutter, making me proud as always.
This should be called the FEAR Gallade. It's so fearsome that even Fear fears it!

I loved using my Gallade focused on scoring critical hits
Held Item: Razor Claw
Close Combat STAB and a powerful ending move due to def loss
Psycho Cut STAB high crit ratio and Gallade's signature move
Leaf Blade high crit ratio and an all out powerful move
Stone Edge high crit ratio takes down flying types low accuracy, but insane base power
with this moveset, you have an amazing chance of scoring a critical hit which in turn mades your opponent frustrated ^_^

Moveset:

Bulk up ( Raises attack, and makes defense up there with Sp Def )

Drain Punch ( Keeps him alive while doing some massive damage, more usefull in gen V )

Psycho Cut / Zen Headbutt ( Psychic STAB )

Night Slash / Stone Edge ( Night slash gives you something on other psychics, while Stone Edge Covers your Flying weakness.

i don't know much but what i have in mind is:
nature: adamant (or jolly to keep attack high but increase speed. i dont care about certain natured sets)
moves:
night slash-good with ghosts
close combat-amazing STAB
swords dance-amazing attack
zen headbut (for flinch)/psycho cut (for MORE crits)/stone edge (crit+type advantage)/leaf blade
Im not good with sets but i hope this helps a teeny bit to say the most. :P

Gen 4 Gallade
Adamant
252attack ev's, 4 def ev's and 252 speed ev's

Thunder punch
Psycho cut
Brick break/close combat
Bulk up/night slash

I find Thunder punch better than stone edge for coverage, close combat is for power and brick break is for screen breaking. Bulk up is to make up for defense loss from close combat, while night slash is for coverage.

Wifi Gallade
description
@ Razor Claw Adamant/Careful nature
Thunder Wave
Psycho Cut
Night Slash
Stone Edge

T-Wave screws up speed and of course, may hax the opponent. Night Slash is high-Crit-Ghost coverage. Especially useful against Dusknoir. Stone Edge screws Flying and Ice, Bug, and Fire, too. Able to get easy crits, as is Psycho Cut, which is STAB.

Gallade (M) @ Leftovers

description

Role: Sweeper / Tank

Trait: Steadfast

EVs: 96 HP / 144 Atk / 252 Def / 16 Spd

Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)

  • Destiny Bond
  • Thunder Wave
  • Leaf Blade
  • Drain Punch

His speed is pretty bad, but Thunder Wave makes up for that, on top of the fact that it lets him strike first for a Destiny Bond!
Drain Punch is STAB and can keep him going for a while.
Leaf Blade is coverage.

Gallade (M) @ Lagging Tail

description

Role: Tricker / Sweeper

Trait: Steadfast

EVs: 96 HP / 80 Atk / 252 Def / 80 Spd

Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)

  • Trick
  • Bulk Up
  • Drain Punch
  • Zen Headbutt

Trick gives opponents a Lagging Tail to screw their speed up, and let him outspeed easier.
Bulk Up increases physical bulk, and allows an attack boost, while Drain Punch is STAB and recovery, and Zen Headbutt is STAB and Flinching.
