What is a good moveset for Grumpig?

Mine knows:

Signal Beam: Decent power, high accuracy, chance to confuse, used to deal with Dark types.

Shadow Ball: Good power, high accuracy, decent chance to lower Sp. Def, used to deal with Ghost types.

Power Gem: Decent power, high accuracy, used to deal with Bug types.

Psychic: Good power, high accuracy, chance to lower Sp. Def, STAB.

This set is good. Maybe carry Magic coat to deflect entry hazards and catch people off guard.

Grumpig @ Leftovers

Trait: Thick Fat

EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe

Timid Nature (+Spe, -Atk)

  • Calm Mind
  • Psychic/Psyshock
  • Shadow Ball
  • Focus Blast

Calm Mind raises Special stats, making it dish out more damage and take special hits better.
Psychich is STAB, Psyshock can be used to hit special walls harder, but Psychic is generally better unless you're after a specific target.
Shadow Ball complements both moves nicely and hits Ghosts and Psychics.
Focus Blast rounds out the coverage hitting Dark Steel and Normal types, mainly.
252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD is an option if you want to have physical bulk, but it generally sucks because the lack of recovery outside Lefties.

Grumpig (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 100 HP / 252 Def / 156 SpDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Psyshock or Calm Mind
- Thunder Wave
- Seismic Toss
- Focus Blast or Calm Mind

Psyshock for STAB.
Thunder Wave for crippling.
Seismic Toss to make use of not great attack stats.
Focus Blast for hitting Dark types.

Calm Mind is an option, but if you have calm mind you wont be able to hit one of either ghost types or dark types.

Grumpig @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Thick Fat
Timid Nature
252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 HP
-Shadow Ball
-Focus Blast/ Hidden Power Fighting

Scarfed Grumpig! Trick gets rid of your scarf if necessary and can cripple defensive mons, Psychic gives more power but Psyshock allows you to hit special walls like Dragalge, Shadow Ball is nice coverage, and the choice of Focus Blast or Hidden Power Fighting is your choice of power over accuracy. (I'd run Focus Blast.)
