GEN IV
Kricketune @ Assault Vest
Ability: Technician
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 HP / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Bug Bite
- Aerial Ace
- Fell Stinger/Power-Up Punch
- Night Slash/Return

You'll have to send kricketune onto a weakened rival, and KO it with fell stinger to have some attack (fell stinger boosts your attack X2 if you faint the target), technician boost fell stinger's power, impish nature and 252 hp and def evs to have max defense, meanwhile the item assault vest covers your special defense, incase you choose Power-UP Punch you just do two to get a good attack

Delelelele woop! (For gen 7)

Kricketune @ Big Root
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 126 Def / 126 SpD
Impish Nature
- Leech Life
- Fell Stinger
- Aerial Ace
- Perish Song

Everyone wants to use Kricketune as a sweeper, however, a somewhat tankish moveset might also work, maybe blending between sweeper and tank, not too fast, not too slow, not too fragile, not too tough. In generation 7 Leech Life has the same power as X-Scissor, and also steals HP, powered up by the Big Root! Fell Stinger and Aerial Ace are powered up by Technician, and Fell Stinger can raise Attack. (Finish him! :D) If it seems the end is near, use the Perish Song (rather recommended for Double Battles) and watch your opponent's lose with the rest of your other pokémon. >:D

Kricketune

Kricketune @ Life Orb
Ability: Swarm
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- X-Scissor
- Brick Break
- Substitute

Swords Dance is the boosting move of choice, boosting its attack to further levels.
X-Scissor is STAB, and should hit pretty hard after a boost.
Brick Break hits Steel types, and grants further coverage.
Substitute give Kricketune something to do on switches, and gives it nice protection against status and protection in general
Jolly is chosen to outspeed as much as possible.

This bug has got it all. Papery defenses, turtle speed, unhelpful abilities, lackluster attack and a strangely offensive design.

Kricketune @ Focus Sash
Ability: Technician
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Bug Bite
- Aerial Ace
- Brick Break / Power-Up Punch
- Swords Dance / Protect

Bug Bite- STAB boosted by Technician.

Aerial Ace- Coverage also boosted by Technician.

Brick Break/Power Up Punch- Fighting

Sword's Dance/Protect- Not a lot of options.

In theory, Kricketune is a Sword's Dancer (role he fails least horribly at.)like Scyther. However, Scyther is infinitely superior (not even Scizor!)to this wannabe cricket(more phrases I never imagined I'd use). In fact, they share the same abilities! This is the best moveset Kricketune can have which brings me to the nature and EVs. Give it a Jolly nature and 252 Spe/252 Atk/4 HP

Kricketune (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Technician
EVs: 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Bug Bite / Taunt
- Brick Break / Taunt
- Sticky Web
- Knock Off

Focus Sash ensures you get your Sticky Webs up. Knock Off lets you removes those pesky Items(if you survive the first hit, of course). Taunt prevents anything you somehow manage to out-speed, while Brick Break removes Screens & Bug Bite is Technician STAB.

GEN VII
Kricketune @ Focus Sash
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Sticky Web
- Fell Stinger
- Fury Cutter
- Sing

I know no one is going to be using Kricketune in Sun and Moon, but I made this moveset to at least try and use it in the PU tier. When I use him, he's usually my lead or I send him in on a slower Pokemon to take full advantage. I always start with sing since it will put them to sleep and let you set up the sticky webs. Fell stinger raises your attack and is boosted by technician so it's a god move to use after the sticky web. Finally when your attack is up and the other Pokemon is asleep, use fury cutter since it has the technician and attack boost.

This set tries to give opposing Pokemon the message: target marked for Deleleletion. (Sorry for the pun?)
Gen 7 ZU

Kricketune @ Buginium Z
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Sticky Web
- Fell Stinger
- Aerial Ace
- Brick Break

This thing tries to raise it's speed with Sticky Web, to slow down most Pokemon. You can even use Z-Sticky Web to raise your speed one stage while setting up a move that lowers opposing Pokemon's speed by one stage, which is what the Buginium Z is for. Fell Stinger is Technician STAB which is to be used on a weakened opponent to raise your attack by 3 stages. Aerial Ace is boosted by Technician. Brick Break deals with rock and steel types.

Delelelele whoop!! This guy might be horrible in PU or even ZU, but I think there is something that makes this guy worth mentioning

Gen VII PU/ ZU
Late-Game Physical Sweeper
Kricketune @ Life Orb/ Focus Sash
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Fell Stinger
- Aerial Ace
- Power-Up-Punch/ Brick Break/
- Swords Dance

While Kricketune isn't the most viable option on these formats, it's the only pokémon who has both Technician and Fell Stinger, meaning that you have a 75 BP STAB move that will boost your attack by 3 stages if you K.O the opponent. Swords Dance is way to compensate for it's 85 base attack, which is just middle-of-the-road. Aerial Ace has 90 BP thanks to Technician, and it's Kricketune only Physical Flying move. The Fighting move is for breaking trought Rock and Steel types who thought that could infinitely wall it.

Oh wait, it is not a bug flying type lol :(

Kricketune.. is bad. But, alas, it isn't bad enough not to be used in Gen 9 ZU. Here's a very strange Sticky Web set to be used for Kricketune in Gen 9 ZU.

Kricketune (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Technician
Tera Type: Bug
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Sticky Web
- Fury Cutter / Fell Stinger
- Night Slash
- Aerial Ace
The Focus Sash is to setup Sticky Web. Fury Cutter gets boosted on the first hit, and Fell Stinger is a good move to bring in for weakened Pokémon. Both are solid options for STAB Bug moves. Night Slash is a solid move, having a high critical chance. Aerial Ace gets boosted with Technician and is coverage for the Grass and Bug types like Scovillain and Vespiquen.

Gen 9
Kricketune @ Silver Powder/Loaded Dice
Ability: Technician
EVs: 4 Def / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Fell Stinger/Pin Missile
- Trailblaze/Bullet Seed
- Rock Tomb
- Night Slash

Been having too much fun with this set the last couple of days, thought I'd make an account and post it. Fell Stinger and Trailblaze if you're using Silverpowder. Get a Trailblaze in (amped with Technician) for the speed boost, finish off with Fell Stinger (also amped with Technician + STAB) for the attack double buff, and you can sweep with it pretty well. Rock Tomb to cover the Flying/Fire types, and further nerf opponent speed, and Night Slash to cover Psychic or just hit hard in general with the Attack/Speed boosts you've pulled off.

If running Loaded Dice with Technician, 'nuff said with Bullet Seed and Pin Missile. You just won't have the additional buffs of Trailblaze + Stinger.
