yea i just found out about this event and im not anywhere near a nintendo wi-fi connection so i was just wonder.....

The event Pokemon have specific IDs (and sometimes ribbons) for a reason: so that the game will recognize the "special" Pokemon, and trigger special functions.

I'm sure the weird obtaining location, OT, ID, or perhaps a ribbon would be the only things to trigger the fabled Spiky-Eared Pichu.

So sadly, based on my knowledge of coding, I'd have to say no.

Well to get a spikey eared pichu you don't need a shiny pichu.
You need a pikachu coloured pichu which you can get through an event.
