I have a golbat that keeps trying to evolve and it doesn't even when I don't press anything, any clue why?

You need to defeat the Elite Four and obtain the National PokeDex before evolving. Crobat is a Gen II Pokemon, and isn't in the PokeDex.

it wouldnt enter the evolution screen if it was holding a everstone

@TR, LeafGreen still can have Gen 2 Pokemon.
