Actually Mew is wrong. The reason all your questions and answers need approval because you have less than 30 points. Once you have over 30, your posts will go through fine.
One exception is posting answers on old questions. If a question is a month old and you have under 200 rep, your answer will need approval. This is to prevent newbies repeating answers on old questions.
