Likely tier: Overused
More likely to be UnderUsed I think. It has good defence but it not very strong at all.

This guy has pretty good defense but not much else good. We can still set him up as a decent wall/tank.

EVs: About 120 in Defense then split the rest in HP/SpDef (more likely to get Surf coming your way than Stone Edge).

Ability: Shell Armor (EDIT: OK Sturdy is NOT lame but Shell Armor is best for a wall/tank)

  • Toxic
  • Substitute
  • Counter - once you've subbed you know you're gonna get attacks coming your way (although like I said, more likely special damage from Surf)
  • Stone Edge or X-Scissor to cover Special pokemon.

Sturdy got a new effect, how many times do I have to tell you?
I don't remember you telling me before but thanks ;) Shell Armor is still better IMO, especially on a wall.
My Crustle's moveset really sweeps through  other people's teams. I give it the item softsand, so it can boost bug type moves.  The ability that it has is shell armour because if you want to kill a crustle in 1 hit, you need a critical hit.  Ti's moveset is:

Stealth Rocks
Shell smash
Rock  wrecker

I usually lead off with stealth rocks or shell smash. If I choose shell smash, the next turn, Ihave to take out the biggest threat because it would 1 shot me. The only problem I have with this moveset is recharge on rock wrecker. I would usually die after I use it.
I give it the item softsand, so it can boost bug type moves
i boosts ground type moves
and with ur set its useless

That Would put me the Sweeper Set Maker. Is Trick Room Still In This Game? If So, Use This Set with Trick Room Support. This Guy, With Trick Room Could Be An ok Sweeper.

Nature: Brave: No Need For Speed That isn't there.
EVs: 252 Attack, 252 SD. 4 HP

Stone Edge: STAB.
Earthquake: A Bug With earthquake? It Aint Even that- well I guess it weighs enough.
Swords Dance/Claw Sharpen: YAY!
Stealth Rock/X-Scizzor: Stealth Rock is A Great Move, Even Better now with all these new Bug Types, while X-Scizzor gives more STAB.

Crustle @ Salac Berry

Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Shell Smash
- Stone Edge/Rock Blast
- X-Scissor

His EVs and Nature are best suited for sweeping, and the Salac Berry works really well with Sturdy to fix his low speed and allow him to sweep, as even a 2 Speed Crustle is slow. Shell Smash makes him baws, and Earthquake provides coverage. Stone Edge gives steady power but has low-ish accuracy, while Rock Blast varies in power but can break subs, your choice. X-Scissor is STAB as well and rounds off his excellent coverage. I advise you use him with Rapid Spin support, as the Salace Berry is not guaranteed to work without Sturdy, and hazards can stop that from happening.

I might question the slab on its back, but other than that, the only faults I can find are petty, and are true of every Pokemon. It has weaknesses, it doesn't have all stats over 100, it isn't invincible. This guy is good. In fact, I expect to see him a decent amount. He gives Bug types the good name that they lost from the Pokemon I did a little bit ago.

Ability: Sturdy

EVs: Defense, Sp Def, HP

Stealth Rock: With not many Pokemon able to learn this, this guy becomes very important in that it has this great (I just shivered) move.

Toxic: With the defense this guy has, Toxic is a must.

Sandstorm: This guy has lower (not low, just lower) Sp Def, which Sandstorm takes care of while damaging the foe all the while.

Level Ground/Sand Tomb: Sand Tomb provides more passive damage in a form not affected by Taunt. Level Ground might force some switches, which is great for Stealth Rock, while also doing more damage.

Ok here is what I did and I'm a big fan of crustle

  1. X-scizor(STAB move plus a fair bug type attack)
  2. Stone edge(another STAB move, good damage, but you will probably need to use pp up or pp max)
  3. Swords dance(raises attack greatly and since it has such a good defense it can use this 2x without problem)
  4. Rock wrecker(learns this move in lvl 55, massive damage and needs to recharge afterward, with sword dance and STAB it's a one hit KO plus it has good defense again so that turn he recharges don't freak out about it)
This move set is actually pretty good so try it and see if it works, it does for me

Ability Sturdy
Item Focus Band ( Because Haxorus and Reshiram and Zekrom have the ability that make abilities useless, back up source)
Rock Wrecker ( POWERFUL and it doesn't have any side effects except recharge, no lowering stats)
X Scissor ( Critical HIt )
Slash ( Critical Hit )
Shell Smash ( In emergency boost attack and kill with rock wrecker)

Pretty good defense, but not very good attack. This is my Entry Hazard Crustle:
enter image description here

Crustle @ Focus Sash

Ability: Shell Armor

Nature: Gentle (+Sp. Def., -Defense)

-Stealth Rock (One of the entry hazard moves, useful)

-Spikes (If used Spikes 3 times, its power is increased)

-Counter (I lowered its Defense so Counter will be more powerful)

-Flail (I also lowered its Defense for this, so when Focus Sash activated, 200 power)

*You can replace Flail with Toxic, so it will be also a Staller Crustle.

This is a pretty good moveset with a Crustle holding a item that boosts chances to get a critical hit (I forgot the name)

1.X-scissor=STAB,80power,100 accuray
2.Rock slide/Stone edge/Rock blast:STAB,25-125power,80-90 accuray
3.Slash/Toxic:Depends on your team
4.Earthquake:100power,100accuray,Type coverage (deals with rock and steel types)

Dwebble (M) @ Berry Juice
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
IVs: 0 Atk
Level 1
- Stealth Rock
- Spikes

This is an effective Dwebble lead. You are almost guaranteed 3 hazards up. Stealth Rock, Sturdy activates, Berry Juice gets it to full, replenishing Sturdy.

Crustling (Crustle) @ Liechi Berry/Salac Berry
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- X-Scissor
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Shell Smash

Set up a Shell Smash, and proceed to sweep. If your health gets down to Sturdy, you can get the Liechi Berry boost for Attack or Salac Berry for Speed if that's what you prefer.
