you can remove Wood Hammer. you can remove Leaf Storm too. you can replace wood hammer with frenzy plant, Leaf storm with earthquake for protection against fire, fighting, steel. you can remove crunch and keep stone edge
Frenzy-plant is a terrible move for Torterra, it is a special attack and it takes recharge.

You don't need three moves of the same type. Doesn't it make more sense to have a bunch of different types of moves? I would put moves like Stone Edge, Earthquake, or even neutral coverage like Return or Secret Power on your Torterra, getting rid of Giga Drain and Leaf Storm. I assume it has higher Attack, so Leaf Storm and Giga Drain are pretty weak on it.

Never use a recharge move like Frenzy Plant. It sounds tasty with the 150 Base Power, but that strength gets cut in half, in terms of damage per turn, because of recharge. 75 Base Power is only a little stronger than Giga Drain.

Tactical move suggestions also include Synthesis, Swords Dance, Rock Polish, Stealth Rock, and Curse. All of these moves really suit Torterra's fighting style, so choose whichever you may want!

Yeah, I never use recharge moves whatever the Base Power is. It's just going to waste a turn so nothing benefit by using it. Your opponent can do something(at worst, will faint your pokemon) while recharging just because of only missing one turn.
"75 base power is only a little stronger than Giga Drain."  lol thats EXACTLY how strong giga drain is...
I like stone edge, earthquake, leaf storm and seed bomb, leaf storm is just for 1 hit KO's and since I have 3 attack its really good.I don't suggest this so that's why this isn't an answer.I used to think earthquake, leafstorm, giga drain, and frenzy plant was a good move set but later on, it just got useless.

Except for the ability (I prefer Shell Armor), I love this set. Stone Edge in particular since it covers every weakness Torterra has.

that's a great moveset seed bomb is a great grass move
earthquake is an amazing ground move both r STAB
stone edge is very good move against flying type's
and rock polish is a very good move as after a few rock polish's u can outspeed a max speed froslass or even speed form deoxys but i recommend curse over it though the extra raw power is overwhelming especially at +6 but carriying both would be overkill if u could set them both up

Torterra
Torterra @ Leftovers
Nature: Impish
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spe

  • Wood Hammer
  • Earthquake
  • Roar
  • Stealth Rock

Wood Hammer provides a solid STAB option, with a nice base power.
Earthquake is also a good move, and has pretty good coverage and it STAB.
Both moves give Torterra to to respectable damage to Pokemon that doesn't resist the combination.
Roar allows Torterra to phaze out Pokes who try to set up on it, and Stealth Rock help rack up damage.
If you want, a specially defensive spread of 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 Spe can also be used to take special hits better, this depends on the team.

Wow, I kinda like this moveset!  Not bad, I wish it could learn AncientPower for coverage instead of Hidden Power (Rock).
Welcome to This Site! :)
(Changed Subject Again...)
Thanks, this moveset took a while to get Hidden Power Rock.

People already have an excuse to use Flying types against this guy (Flying is super effective) so you probably shouldn't have your only attacking move be uneffective against them.
I changed it too leech seed partially because I just found out Stock-pile+Sand-tomb is impossible on Grotle. Also I can switch when a Flying type comes in. Most NU Flying types will be stalled by Grotle here.
Why not use Dig?  That can work instead of Sand Tomb.

My own Torterra has the moves Crunch, Stone Edge, Earthquake, and Frenzy Plant. Crunch is a descent move with good accuracy. Stone Edge is used to deal with Fire/ice/flying/bug types so it is a must have for torterra.
Earthquake is also good against fire types and is an all around good move since it has high attack power and good accuracy. Now for Frenzy Plant...

Many people dislike it because of the recharge phase after use. However, what I people do not take into account is the fact that it is a great finishing move to quickly end a battle because of the 150 base stat. Also, during normal game play, one can simply switch torterra out if Frenzy Plant fainted the opposing pokemon. This more or less gets rid of the rechaging.

Furthermore, I only use Frenzy Plant when I down to only torterra left, when against a particularly pesky water/ground/rock pokemon, or when the opponent is on his or her last pokemon. Really, Frenzy plant is a great move if one knows how and when to use it.

Sorry for the long explanation.

  • Torterra (M) @ Choice Band

  • Trait: Overgrow

  • EVs: 96 HP / 252 Atk / 160 SDef

  • Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)

Move #1:-Stone Edge
Move #2:-Earthquake
Move #3:-Wood Hammer
Move #4:-Superpower

Choice Banded hard hitter Torterra.
Sp Def ev's even out defenses, maxed attack, with a few in Hp.
Wood Hammer hits insanely hard, at the price of a good bit of your Hp, so be it.
Earthquake is STAB, covers a lot of types, etc.
Stone Edge is coverage, mainly for Ice and Flying, while Superpower is that last hit coverage that everyone loves and despises at the same time.

Torterra
Torterra @ Yache Berry
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpAtk / 252 SpDef
Nature: Brave (+Atk -Spd)
-Wood Hammer - Gains STAB and have a crazy 120 base power.
-Earthquake - Epic move that gains STAB.
-Stone Edge - For coverage.
-Leaf Storm/Outrage/Crunch/Stealth Rock - Yes, he have more Atk than SpAtk. That why this is here. Once you used Torterra's SpAtk lowers harshly. The other 3 moves are Physical so don't will change much and is a Strong move!! If you don't like Leaf Storm go with Outrage. If you don't like both go with Crunch. Stealth Rock can be used too for support.

My Level 99 Torterra/Gavysta. Held Item- Miracle Seed.

Sassy nature.
HP- 340
Attack-256
Defense-251
Sp.Attack-176
Sp.Defense-226
Speed-148

Razor Leaf - Excellent against double battles.

Giga Drain - Perfect for regaining health/ Battle tower.

Earthquake - Amazing power against various Pokemon.

Rock Slide - Great against flying types and others.

This in my opinion is a well rounded moveset for Torterra. This is my first post, so thanks to Lettherebelight for correcting my post.
