Meta Battle Subway PokeBase - Pokemon Q&A

What is a good moveset for Rotom (Fan form)?

placed this here since all the forms were not in place, and putting all the rotom sets on the "all forms" question would get very jumbled.

Good idea DT. I never got round to figuring out where all the rotom movesets were :)
My God I was wondering that!

Breeze Rotom @ Life Orb

Trait: Levitate

EVs: 192 HP / 64 SAtk / 252 Spd

Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)

  • Air Slash
  • Volt Switch
  • Hidden Power [Fighting]
  • Dark Pulse/Shadow Ball

Finally a good STAB move with rotom.
Volt Switch is nice for STAB scouting.
yay for HP Fighting and Dark Pulse/Shadow Ball.

Fan form is the worst of all the Rotoms because he has a redundant ability come on Levitate on flying type geez anyway here is my set.

Fan-flinch

Nature: Timid/Modest
Ability: ugh...levitate
EVs: 252 Speed, 252 S.attack, 4 hp
Item: Air-balloon...just kidding. Leftovers

Thunder-wave: Para
Air-slash: Flinch + STAB
Volt-switch: STAB+Switch
Shadow-ball: Coverage

Also you could switch Thunder-wave for Will-o-wisp and Volt-switch for Discharge if you want to damage for the paralysis.

Rotom staler
ability: levitate
item: chesto berry
moves:
Air slash - STAB, only attack, flinch
substitute - To last longer, and it's annoying with rest
Rest - Recover hp from substitute
Double team - high evasion, higher annoyance!

So, first you use substitute then double team and just repeat until you have to use rest. After you believe you have high enough evasion you just keep attacking with air slash.
Although this moveset isn't practical, if it works out well it becomes very annoying for the other player.

Rest will only work once and then you're screwed...
That's true, but on the second rest your opponent will have such bad accuracy, due to double team, you should be fine to rest. Plus, you probably will have substitute out.
It should also be pointed out that Double Team is banned in almost all competitive battles.
Since when?
Since always.
Oh. I didn't know that since i used it in triple battle. Is there a reason for this?
