Meta Battle Subway PokeBase - Pokemon Q&A

What is a good moveset for Farfetch'd?

2 votes

This moveset was made after I saw Pokemaster's Drapion moveset which made use of critical-hits. My Farfetch'd holds a Stick. It knows:

Slash: Decent dameage, high critical hit ratio raised by Stick, high accuracy, STAB.

Night Slash: Decent damage, high critical hit ratio raised by Stick, high accuracy.

Leaf Blade: Good damage, high accuracy, used to deal with Rock types, high critical hit ratio raised by Stick.

Aerial Ace: Decent damage, doesn't miss, STAB.

As farfetch'd isnt a very good pokemon moveset wise, its an Excellent idea to use critical hits the way you do. Farfetch'd doesnt have any defense otherwise I would reccomend toxic. Overall, thats about the best moveset you can get for Farrfetch'd.

Side Question: Did you breed leaf blade onto farfetch'd?

I don't know the details, but it appears to start with possible chain breeding from Leafeon.

EDIT: No chaining is required. Farfetch'd and Leafeon both belong to the Ground Egg Group.
Yeah, I ggo to other sites to see egg moves and find Pokemon to breed. It can only be obtained in HG/SS.

Gen V Aerodactyl Killer (Seriously, I beat Will's Aerodactyl with this)

Farfetch'd (M) @ Stick

Trait: Defiant

EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd

Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)

  • Agility
  • Leaf Blade
  • Night Slash
  • Brave Bird

Yeah, this set is gimmicky. Really, it tries to make use of the unbalanced luck mechanic of Pokemon Online. Agility will give you some Speed to make this work. Then just hit with your two critical-hitting moves (Leaf Blade and Night Slash). If need be, you have Brave Bird for STAB (high base power, so yeah.) Defiant can be used to make your Attack good. Just think of Farfetch'd with +2 Attack and +2 Speed, with a huge critical hit chance. That... isn't really amazing, but it will do for a gimmick. EVs are sweeping EVs.

Farfetch'd is also okay with Baton Pass instead of U-Turn (wew just replied to a 2 year old comment)

A piece of crap with a nice exclusive Item and a Cool Movepool, Fantastic....

Well he's quite simple.

Lead Blade Coverage high power and High Crit Rate,

Night Slash Coverage Moderate Power and High Crit Rate,

Slash STAB Moderate Power and High Crit Rate,

Agility to Give this thing one useable stat.

It's better to baton pass attack and speed so replace agility with brave bird or air cutter but other than that this is the best moveset.
Never mind.

Farfetch'd @ Salac Berry
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Naughty Nature
IVs: 0 HP / 0 Def / 0 SpD
- Endure
- Flail
- Knock Off/Night Slash
- Leaf Blade/Swords Dance/Natural Gift

Worst Pokemon ever, in my opinion. Magikarp? Evolves into Gyarados. Luvdisc? Extremely fast under Swift Swim, and Hydro Pump actually does okay amounts of damage under rain. Unown? Hidden Power is unpredictable, allowing you trick your opponents into thinking what Hidden Power you have. Farfetch'd literally has no excuse, aside from the fact that it gets Slash, Night Slash, Leaf Blade and it's own signature item to boot. So, why not suggest a terrible, gimmicky moveset for a terrible, gimmicky Pokemon. Endure is to get yourself to 1 HP so that you can spam Flail, a move that becomes extremely powerful at 1 HP (and by "extremely powerful", I mean in Farfetch'd standards). Knock Off is for those pesky Ghost-types. Night Slash provides the same coverage as Knock Off, but despite being weaker, the critical hit ratio, albeit shaky, can sometimes save you in certain situations. Leaf Blade is for Rock-types that try to wall your sweep. Swords Dance gives Farfetch'd a somewhat usable attack stat, but only if you predict a switch. The only reason Natural Gift is there is because it gives you a 100 (80 if you're playing generations 4 to 5) base power physical Fighting-type move if you still have not consumed your berry to kill Steel-types, who otherwise wall you. (a̶s̶ ̶i̶f̶ ̶F̶a̶r̶f̶e̶t̶c̶h̶'̶d̶ ̶i̶s̶ ̶g̶o̶n̶n̶a̶ ̶k̶i̶l̶l̶ ̶a̶n̶y̶t̶h̶i̶n̶g̶,̶ a̶n̶y̶w̶a̶y̶s̶). It really has no use aside from that. EVs are standard "sweeping" EVs. IVs are to ensure that Farfetch'd goes down in one hit, and survives with Endure. The 0 HP IVs is to make sure that Farfetch'd goes down after 3 Seismic Tosses, while having no bulk aswell. The 0 Defense and Sp. Defense IVs are for dying easily and having no bulk. Salac Berry is for the speed boost after using Endure and living at 1 HP.
