Try this moveset:

Earthquake: Deals with Fire types, high power, high accuracy, double damage against foes using Dig.

Aerial Ace: Decent Power, doesn't miss, used to deal with Fighting types.

Ice Punch: Decent power, high accuracy, chance to Freeze, used to deal with Ground types.

Flash Cannon is good unless you have higher Attack, then get in Iron Head.

Edit: Swampert is right. Replace Flash Cannon with Gyro Ball. You could keep Aerial Ace or get in Hammer Arm, your choice.

Edited Edit: Never mind if Registeel can't learn Gyro Ball.

Thanks, nice move-set it deals with all the weaknesses

How about Gyro Ball? Registeel has pretty low speed. And Rest is too risky. Hammer Arm Might be good too, for lowering his speed for a super powered Gyro ball.

EDIT: Wierd, trns out, Registeel cant learn gyro ball.

Nintendo is definitely receiving a STRONG letter about this BS.

But If he could, I've gotta admit, he would absolutely abuse a Curse+Hammer Arm+GYRO BALL set!

Registeel @ Choice Specs

Trait: Clear Body

EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 Spe

Modest Nature (+SpA, -Atk)

  • Flash Cannon
  • Focus Blast
  • Thunderbolt
  • Hidden Power Ice

Flash Cannon is STAB, and nails Rock and Ice types for good damage, and other things for neutral nice damage.
Focus Blast hits Steel types, and has pretty good coverage.
Thunderbolt hits Water and Flying types for that nice damage, and has good power.
Hidden Power Ice hits Ground types as they switch in.

Item: Leftovers
Ability: Clear-body
Nature: Bold
EVs: 252 Defense, 252 S. Defense, 6 Hp

Amnesia and Iron-defense combine to give you insane defensive stats. Seismic-toss is for damaging. Toxic is for stalling.

Perfect stalling set!!! Good job!
I would use Hammer Arm over seismic toss, but that's just me.
Looks like a nice set will try it out!

Registeel @ Leftovers
Ability : Clear Body
Careful Nature (up S.DEF, down S.ATK)
EV: 252 DEF / 128 S.DEF / 64 ATK / 64 SPD

Curse - boost to your already high Defense and gives you a chance to deal some damage.
Iron Head - STAB, Accuracy, and a chance to flinch.
Earthquake - Coverage, great physical move.
Thunderpunch - Coverage.

Specially Defensive Curse Registeel

Registeel @ Leftovers
Careful Nature
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 Atk
-Thunder Wave
-Stealth Rock/Earthquake
-Iron Head

Registeel is very bulky, so it is almost guaranteed a turn to Curse. The Speed drop doesn't really matter, as it's not going to outspeed anything anyway. You can run a ParaFlinch set with Iron Head and Thunder Wave, and Stealth Rock is just a good move altogether. If you prefer coverage over entry hazards, you're going to want Earthquake, as Ground/Steel is nearly unresisted type coverage.

Registeel @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 Atk / 24 SpA / 232 Spe
Naive Nature
- Rock Polish
- Iron Head
- Earthquake
- Hidden Power [Fire]

Very unexpected. Due to Registeel's excellent bulk and OK offensive stats, it can run a weakness policy very nicely. EVs insure that you get the OHKO on 0-invested M-Scizor with HP Fire, and that you can outrun fully invested positive natured base 145s after one Rock Polish. I was making the EV spread, and it just so happened that the SpA and Spe investments worked out perfectly, so that Atk can get the full investment it needs. Registeel is cool because it lives stuff like M-Gardevoir's Focus Blast, and live both a Drain Punch and then a Mach Punch from full investment positive nature AV Conkeldurr. Clear Body, although Registeel's only option for an ability, works nicely with the set, because it is immune to Intimidate and Sticky Web.

Registeel @ Leftovers
Sleep Talk / Toxic
Iron Head
Ability : Clear Body
Nature : Careful
EVs : 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Sp.Def

Curse is used to boost both Defense and Attack at once while lowering Speed, which doesn't really matter since Registeel is naturally slow anyway. Rest is Registeel's primary and only method of recovery, and Sleep Talk is used to not give foes free turns while Registeel is resting. Iron Head is the only viable STAB attacking option Registeel has. Toxic is also usable over Sleep Talk, as it helps with PP stalling and forcing out Pokemon while making Registeel much less dependent on Toxic Spikes. However, this also makes Registeel much more vulnerable while Resting.

Registeel uses Curse to boost Defense, so maximizing HP and Special Defense is better to allow it to check special attacking threats better. Leftovers is a staple on all defensive Pokemon, and Registeel is no different.

Registeel @ Leftovers
EVs: 252 HP / 164 SpA / 92 SpD
Nature: Modest
-Iron Defense
-Flash Cannon
-Charge Beam

This set works well in just about any battle. It has setup capabilities with Iron Defense and Amnesia, along with Flash Cannon, which hits every type and has STAB. Charge Beam is for neutral damage against Fire types and other Steel types, etc. Charge Beam also increases SpA 70% of the time. Leftovers also allows it to regain health every turn, which in conjunction with Iron Defense and Amnesia makes Registeel an incredible wall that can hit back.

May seem slightly weird, but in the right situations, its unexpected and works. Go full tank with this set-up.

Registeel @ Silk Scarf
Clear Body
EV's: (These are aproximations) 60 HP/150 Def/150 Sp. Att/150 Sp. Def

Iron Defense

Rest is TM, Amn/Irn Def are level up moves and Snore is move tutor in BW2. Depending on the Pokemon the opponent sent out, use either Amnesia or Iron Defense. Next turn use it again, then Rest and Snore. When you wake up, use the opposite stat booster and then Rest and Snore again. What also works is using Iron Defense or Amnesia whilst sleeping to stop you form using any PP on those turns and waiting out any Ghost type's PP (so they have to use Struggle). It works as a great troll and Registeel makes a brilliant tank for any team.
