protect, the move, and the recoil

Question

let's say i have a recoil move on one of my pokemon but he used protect/detect on the previous turn, will he still recieve recoil or will protect save me?

Protect/Detect works for one turn only. It is impossible to say if it WOULD protect you, but it WON´T.

BTW, there is no way to not take recoil unless you have the rock head ability

Magic Guard also protect from recoil.
