Does poison and burn inflict the same amount of damage each turn?

Yes Poison Takes away 1/8 of the Pokemon's HP Per Turn. Burn also takes away 1/8 HP, but also halves the Pokemon's Attack.

Note that Bad Poison damage increases each turn, starting at 1/16, i.e. 1/16, 2/16, 3/16, 4/16...

being burned lowers your attack.while being poisoned does not,howerver there is a move that makes your poison status even more critical.venoshock
