What is a good moveset for Leafeon?

3 votes

A good Eeveelotion, although it has many weaknesses. Mine knows:

Leaf Blade: Good power, high accuracy, good chance for a critical hit, STAB.

Aerial Ace: Decent power, doesn't miss, used to deal with Bug types.

Dig: Good power, high accuracy, dodges the enemies attacks, used to deal with Fire and Poison types.

Iron Tail: High power, good chance to lower defense, used to deal with Ice types.

Here is an excellent physical moveset for Leafeon, and ill give you a staller one too(it can easily be used as either 1!).

Physical Sweeper: Swords Dance is a must. If you have a chance to double already high attack, always take it. This Makes Easy Sweeping. Next, is Leaf Blade, for some STAB. Then Return, for a move that affects alot of types. If the happiness isnt much, Iron Tail, Strength, Aerial Ace, and Dig are all respective moves for this slot. Finally Finish with another one of the moves I listed in the last sentence, for whatever the heck you want.

Now For The Staller: In This Case, Toxic Is a must(must I say why?). Next, is Double Team(since it cant learn Light Screen, it need s a way to be defensive). Next, You Can add Grasswhistle or Flash. Flash for more defenses, and Grasswhistle to stop the opponet from attack, while toxic destroys them. Finally, add Leaf Blade(for STAB and you might need a backup damage dealing move).
Hope This Helps!:)

Interesting, everyone says Swords Dance, all I see is Curse. :D
Physical Bulky Leafeon:

Leafeon (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Leaf Guard
EVs: 120 HP / 252 Atk / 136 SDef
Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)
- Leaf Blade
- X-Scissor
- Synthesis / Baton Pass
- Curse
This guy is especially fun on Drought teams, as it won't get status conditions and it will recover 2/3 from Synthesis, but can be useful on any UU team as well. Leafeon makes for a great user of Curse, it's speed isn't really great to begin with, it doesn't go over 328 ever, so sweeping would be difficult with the 100 base speed sweepers around. I say forget Swords Dance and make this guy Bulky as well as offensive. Leaf Blade gives STAB, X-Scissor gives better coverage, and Synthesis is for recovery, especially nice in the sun. Baton Pass can be used instead of Synthesis, if rather than recovering, you would prefer to give the Curse boosts to another fresher teammate to abuse.
EVs give 301 HP, max attack and 200 SpDef, not really great, but Def is getting boosted by Curse, so investment there is essentially pointless.

Ivy (Leafeon) (F) @ Choice Scarf
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SpAtk)
Trait: Leaf Guard/Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 Atk / 8 HP / 124 Def / 124 Spd
-Leaf Blade
-Iron Tail
-Double Edge
-X-Scissor

Leaf Blade is obvious. Iron Tail is your Ice Coverage. Double Edge is neutral, and there are a lack of alternatives. X-Scissor is Your Psychic and Dark coverage. Scarf Leafeon is awesome.

Nature Jolly, Evs 252 attack 252 speed 4hp

Leaf Blade(Manditory STAB)

S-dance(Boost already amazing attack)

Synthesis(Invinci-sweeper)

Return/aerial ace(Super strong move or coverage of bugs)

Sweeper is the best option for him becuase he has too many weaknesses and no way of covering them to be a tank so he is a bulky sweeper.

This is the set that I use. ONE MAN ARMY

Leafeon @ heat rock
Ability: Leaf Guard

Nature: Modest
Stats: HP 248, Attack 247, Defense 300, Sp.Atk 170, Sp.Def 171, Speed 224

Sunny Day: Activates Leaf Guard, makes Solarbeam only take 1 turn, Synthesis heals A LOT.
Solarbeam: 1 turn with Sunny Day STAB.
Synthesis: With that relatively low HP, it heals lot's with Sunny Day.
Aerial Ace: When you've taken advantage of Sunny Day enough, sweep the rest of the team.

OK, I know that it doesn't have the best of stats, but it's the best that I could come up with.

SpAtk is not it's greatest quality, so Solarbeam is not the best. Leaf Blade is a better option.
so ur gonne sweep them with  a 170 spatk attack solar beam..
and sweep them with a modest nature leafeon with aerial ace...
with calculations u can say that leaf blade is a whole lot better...

Can you say support?

Layla (Leafeon) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Leaf Guard
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 Atk
Impish Nature
IVs: NaN SAtk
- Leaf Blade
- Substitute
- Synthesis
- Heal Bell

I'll just give a little backstory as to why I made mine be this. My teams always have too many Ground weaknesses or too little resistances. As most Ground moves are physical, I figure this guy is perfect to take EQs with, and with that defense stat he can be a very formidable wall.

Leaf Blade is for STAB, and as it's the only attacking move, may as well make it a high critical hit-chance one.

Substitute is for possible Haunter switch-ins, so you can still get off a Leaf Blade or Synthesis, depending which you need more.

Finally Heal Bell for maximum supporting capabilities. Yawn could be used too, but I prefer ridding status off of my sweepers.

This is the moveset I had in Gen IV, so it might be outdated, but it definitely works well.

- Sunny Day: No charge required for Solar Beam
- Synthesis: Good healing move
- Solar Beam: Good STAB move, needs no charge with a sunny day set up
- Energy Ball: Another good STAB move

You must include all 4 moves.
Fixed that
Why Solar Beam and Energy Ball, with it's pathetic SpAtk, you should go with Leaf blade due to it's naturally high Atk, and the stab will be the same.
