Either find the IVs of the Pokemon and put them in to something such as Pokemon Online to find out your Hidden Power type or use Hidden Power on multiple kinds of Pokemon and see what it is Super-Effective, not very effective, and neutral against, narrowing it down until you know the Hiddden Power type. The first one will also give you the base power of Hidden Power.

In Platinum and later versions there is a man who will tell you your Hidden Power type, but unfortunately this is not available in Diamond and Pearl.
