I just found that's it's not noted anywhere in the rules that we aren't allowed to have duplicate accounts. While it's assumed to be common sense for most of us, there has recently been a user who didn't know it was against the rules. He probably won't be the last either.
Yeah maybe I will... can't believe it's not obvious though. (Although technically dupe accounts don't really matter unless they are being used for cheating purposes like voting each other up or trolling people.)
