Are we allowed to use words in shortform in comments?

Eg: instead of typing "you" we type" u".

    Instead of typing "are" we type "r".
    Instead of typing "please" we type "pls".
    and so on.

Well I'm not entirely sure on if it's allowed, but I think it's preferred you don't, or at least don't do it often (including Q/A's as well). I remember reading a post like 7 months ago that said something about trying to use mostly proper grammar and punctuation in Q/A's so it would be easy for people to understand your question, and I think this applies to spelling too.

It makes your post horrifyingly hard to read at times, especially if it's long.

Not to mention it makes the site look unprofessional and our community seem stupid. It also makes the jobs of Experts, Editors and Moderators more difficult if we are expected to edit posts to correct the spelling.
