If a question gets 5 flags, is it automatically hidden?

I'm not sure if this is just a coincidence, but a few weeks ago there was a question with 4 flags. I then flagged it myself, making it have 5 flags. The question was hidden as soon as I flagged it. Is it coincidence that a mod happened to hide it, or not?

Yes. 5 flags will hide a post. If you are viewing a post with 4 flags, a "flag and hide" button will appear. If you click it the post will hide itself.
