Here we go with Dragonite, one of the original uber-pokemon. It has a big movepool so there could be a lot of good answers here...

Great for sweeping. Multiscale generally allows you to get off at least one DD before attacking. Only Shedninja and Skarmory resist it. You could switch extreme speed with fire punch for complete coverage but I haven't found it as useful.

I thought of this set:
Item: Wide Lens (to raise the accuracy of Iron Tail)
Abillty: Inner Focus
Nature: Naguhty (high Attack, low Special Defense)
Moveset:
-Iron Tail: Nice power + type coverage against Ice and Rock types and have a chance to lower the foes Defense.
-Dragon Dance: Attack bonus and helpful Speed.
-Ice Beam/Dragon Claw: Against other Dragon types.
-Thunder Punch: For all of those Flying/Water types out there (most of the Water types can learn some Ice type move so it is really helpful) and of course Paralyze chance (10%).

This set offer a type coverage set. It takes care of one of Dragonite weakness (his low Speed).
With Iron tail you wont need to worry about Ice and Rock types. If you use Iron tail after a Dragon Dance and while wearing a Wide Lens, no Rock/Ice types can even have a chance to touch you!
Dragonite got 1 more weakness- Dragon type. You can either get him Ice Beam or Dragon Claw and then with his high Speed and high Attack using the Dragon Dance you will beat any Dragon type in your way.
The last move was a hard choice. I wanted a move that will use Dragonite Attack and will help him against Water type especialy and maybe 1 more type coverage. Thunder Punch cover it all. Using Thunder Punch will not only kill Water types but Flying types too. It is a physical move that also have a Paralyze chance which makes it even more helpful in battle.

I chose the Inner Focus abillty because it is hard to get a Multiscale Dragonite and because having the abillty not to finch is better at this set because any finch means death here (because of his low Special Defense), but having no finch means that you can KO your enemy in only one turn, they wont have time to use a Special Attack move on you!

Toxic: Slowly take down
Protect: For wrap and toxic to do their magic
Substitute:To block hits like protect but just so that both can be used alternately so that protect has full accuracy!

Nice set, but if you battle pokemons with high hp, it will take some time to kill them and in the time you wait they might attack you. I suggest putting one move that will do a lot of damage.

If you want a Pokemon for what that moveset (besides wrap) presents, get a Blissey.

Well my dragonite has:
1.Ice beam
2 Dragon Rush
3 Outrage (pure power)
4 Stone edge

With these moves my dragonite seems to own everybody but it is level 100 though.

do Ice punch instead of ice beam. Dragonite's high attack stat makes it do more damage.

A set that works off his higher attack stat but at the same tim uses hi sbulk effectively. Hone Claws allows him to have a moderatly high attack and makes Dragon Rush quite usable. Substitue helps make him more bulky and can help to keep Multisclae in play. Dragon Rush will almost always hit after one Hone Claws and is a good medium between Dragon Claw and Outrage. Last, Roost increases him longevity.

that's a good moveset, except that most ice types are special defensive. chuck Flamethrower and add Fire punch. dragonite's high attack stat will make it more powerful anyway.

Okay, so here's my idea for a physical Dragonite.
Item: Muscle Band
Brick Break - Decent power, good weakness coverage, shatter any reflects/light screens
Dragon Claw - Physical STAB
ThunderPunch - Because, honestly, how often do you NOT go against water types with ice moves?
Fly - Good power, lends a bit of avoidance at times.

Hopefully, this set isn't too bad.

Her's my moveset for Dragonite if it wer to be placed on a rain team:

Held Item: Choice Specs

- Draco Meteor Powerful STAB
- Hurricane Another Powerful STAB that gets 100 % accuracy in Rain and a chance to confuse
- Thunder Great move that compliments Hurricane since it also gains 100 % accuracy in Rain and a chance to Paralyze
- Surf Awesome move to use in the rain

Okay here's the catch with this Dragonite: In order to achieve its best usage potential, you'll need a Pokémon that can set up Rain Dance as a move, or better yet. have a Pokemon that can set a permanent Rain, notably Politoed (via Dream World) or Kyogre would be a use especiallu for Double Battles respectively. That would make Dragonite your best rain sweeper in the entire meta-game!
