This guy has seen a TREMENDOUS use ever since the release of the Therian formes of Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus.

Mamoswine (M) @ Choice Band

Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)

  • Ice Shard
  • Stone Edge
  • Earthquake
  • Icicle Spear/Crash
by
I'd change Stone Edge to Superpower but I love this otherwise.
I think running Jolly wouldn't be bad either?

VCG 2015 Assault Vest Mamoswine

Mamoswine@Assault Vest
enter image description here
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs:252 Spd, 252 Atk, 4 Sp.D
Nature: Jolly

  • -Earthquake (STAB, multi-hitting move)
  • -Rock Slide (Further multi target move)
  • -Icicle Crash (STAB and dragon coverage)
  • -Knock Off (Powerful move, wrecks item obusers, like Hydreigon)

Well my Mamoswine is always getting outsped, so for slow Mamoswines I'd do Avalanche over Icicle Crash, because with Mamoswine's speed it won't flinch anything since that 'anything' went first lol besides avalanche has 120 base power after Mamoswine tanks a hit.

Gen 5 OU
Mamoswine @ Choice Band
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Ice Shard
- Earthquake
- Superpower
- Stone Edge / Icicle Crash

Ice Shard quickly revenge kills common threats like Salamence, Garchomp, Dragonite, and Hydreigon. Ice Shard + Choice Band is also very helpful against the three genies. Earthquake is strong STAB, and Superpower is a powerful move that covers Steels. Stone Edge is another powerful move it has at its disposal, but it can use Icicle Crash if you want stronger Ice STAB.

Ice Shard is kind of weak
But mamoswine is slow af so ice shard is a good option
How does speed have anything to do with it?
It is a priority move
Oh, thanks!
If I make my mamoswine a priority abuser I'll just make it bulkier since priority always allows you to move first.

Ok this is the DW set I use

Mamoswine

  • Icicle crash: finally a decently power physical ice type move

Piloswine @ Eviolite
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 170 HP / 140 Def / 200 SpD
Brave / Adamant Nature
- Curse
- Amnesia
- Ice Shard
- Earthquake

Curse and Amnesia are for boosting. Ice Shard is for STAB priority. Earthquake is STAB. This is a tank Piloswine.

I wouldn't call that a move set very suitable for the bulky, physical powerhouse that is Mamoswine. This is the set I run and it's probably not perfect but it works well for me and has gotten me out of some tricky situations. (And really, Peck!?)

Bulky Physical Sweeper

Mamoswine (M) @ Expert Belt
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Nature: +Atk, -SpAtk

  • Ice Shard
  • Earthquake
  • Iron Head
  • Stone Edge / Rock Slide

This is my favorite set; Ice Shard is great priority and still hits hard with Mamoswine's unbelievable attack boosted by its nature. It takes care of most pesky dragons. Earthquake is a must. Iron Head is great coverage for Fairies, as well as any Rocks that Earthquake can't hit. (Also hits other Mamoswines harder than Stone Edge). Stone Edge is amazing for other Ices, Flyings, Bugs, Fires, and general coverage. This move set makes good use of Expert Belt because you will most likely have at least one super effective attack to choose from, and if you don't then you have earthquake to fall back on.

BTW, you shouldn't be sending Mamoswine out against fighting types anyways.

This is the Mamoswine that I use:

Thick Fat
Weakness Policy
Naughty (+Att, -Sp. Def.)
252 HP/252 Att./4 Sp. Att.

Ice Shard
Endure
Earthquake
Freeze-Dry

With this set, you essentially fire off Earthquakes until a Pokemon who you're weak against comes in, then you use Endure and have your Weakness Policy activated, after which you can use a +2 Ice Shard to go down fighting!
Freeze-Dry is best used against a Water-type foe after it activates your Weakness Policy (as long as you survive the hit, due to not using Endure that turn, or you know you'll out-speed it the next turn).

Mamoswine @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature (+Atk -SpA)
- Earthquake
- Icicle Crash
- Ice Shard
- Superpower

This set of Mamoswine is used to break giant holes in your opponents team. Choice scarf allows its speed to go up to an excellent 388 while the Adamant Nature allows Mamoswine to still hit hard. I chose thick fat as its ability because it turns its neutrality to ice into a resistance and makes it neutral to fire. Earhtquake is there as a tremendously powerful stab move that throttles many common Pokemon. Icicle Crash is there for a good physical ice move that smacks dragon, flying, grass, and other ground types. Ice Shard is for reliable stab priority and for picking off weakened threats. Superpower is good coverage that lets you hit steel, normal, rock, dark, and ice types super effectively. The 252 evs in Attack and Speed are for outspeeding other threats while boosting its already incredible 130 base Attack. Lastly the 4 evs in Defense are for slightly boosting its defense you could also put those 4 evs in Special Defense. Hope this was useful for anyone looking for a good Mamoswine set.

If you're going to use a choice scarf, Ice Shard in my opinion is worthless
@Charizard458 yes. With scarf you can run something like Iron Head Or Stone Edge

Gen 8 NU
Piloswine
Piloswine @ Eviolite
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Icicle Crash
- Ice Shard
- Stealth Rock

Earthquake is a strong STAB move. Icicle Crash is also STAB. Ice Shard is for priority. Stealth Rock is to setup a hazard on the opposing side.

Mamoswine @ Life Orb/Leftovers
Role: Physical Sweeper
Trait: Thick Fat
Nature: Brave (+Atk, - Spd)
EVs: 252 Atk / 156 SDef/ 100 Def
Moveset:
- Avalanche
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Curse

Explanation: Avalanche and Earthquake are for STAB and abuses Mamoswine's high Atk stat. Given its nature and Curse (ups Atk and Def stats, lowers Spd), Mamoswine is highly likely to attack later, meaning Avalanche's power will double to 120. Rock Slide is for coverage against Flying, Bug, Fire and Ice. The EVs spread is so since Curse already ups Def so I decide to give more EVs to its (lower) SDef.

Alternatively:
Mamoswine @ Life Orb/Leftovers
Role: Physical Sweeper
Trait: Snow Cloak
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, - SAtk)
EVs: 252 Atk/ 252 Spd/ 4 HP
Moveset:
- Ice Shard
- Earthquake/Bulldoze
- Rock Tomb/Rock Slide
- Amnesia

Explanation: Unless the opponent uses a priority damaging move as well, Ice Shard will hit first, making up for Mamoswine's lackluster Spd. Earthquake is high power and STAB, but if you wish to, Bulldoze, although significantly lower power, lowers the target's Spd by one stage. Rock Tomb for lower power but lowers opponent's Spd by on stage or Rock Slide for higher power and chance to flinch. Amnesia is to raise Mamoswine's dreary SDef stat.

> Mamoswine is highly likely to attack later, meaning Avalanche's power will double to 120.

Avalanche has already -4 priority, so the user definitely attacks later. It doesn't matter user's speed.

Mamoswine @ Muscle Band
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk/ 240 Def/ 16 SpD
Adamant Nature
-Avalanche
-Earthquake
-Stealth Rock
-Iron Head

Avalanche and Earthquake are there for obvious STAB
Iron Head for coverage
Stealth rock for a nice stage hazard that breaks focus sashes and it is the only other move I think works since its movepool isn't that great

Mamoswine @Choice Band
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 4 HP/ 252 Spd/ 252 Atk
Jolly Nature
-Stone Edge
-High Horsepower/ Earthquake
-Ice Shard/ Icicle Crash
-Knock off

Earthquake is powerful plus it has STAB and it has Choice Band, which raises the user’s attack. And Ice Shard can KO Dragon-type Pokémons like Garchomp and Salamence. Earthquake is a good coverage against Fire and Steel Pokémons. If you want stronger STAB moves, I recommend Icicle Crash. But if you don’t want High Horsepower, then switch to Earthquake. (If you want stronger moves than High Horsepower.)

Hope this helps!

Why do you need both Earthquake and High Horsepower?
The only place where HH is better than EQ is in doubles. Running IShard, ICrash, EQ, and Knock would be better because HH is worse EQ

Gen 9 NU Bulky Offensive Stealth Rock

Piloswine @ Eviolite
Ability: Thick Fat
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 212 HP / 252 Atk / 44 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Icicle Crash
- Ice Shard

This is essentially the Piloswine set I posted a couple years ago, but with a slightly different EV spread. This set is to be used in Gen 9 NU. Piloswine is a good Pokemon in Gen 9 due to its Ice/Ground typing and access to Thick Fat, which is useful to check Goodra. Also, because of Piloswine's STABs, it sometimes seems like Piloswine 6-0s an entire team on Team Preview. Stealth Rock lets Piloswine setup a hazard that can chip Pokemon switching in. Earthquake is Piloswine's strongest Ground STAB, threatening Pokemon such as Jolteon, Salazzle, Qwilfish, Copperajah, and Coalossal. Icicle Crash is used as a powerful Ice STAB to threaten Flying- and Grass-types such as Scyther, Shaymin, Rotom-Mow, Altaria, Bombirdier, and Galarian Articuno in addition to Goodra. Ice Shard is a useful priority Ice STAB that allows Piloswine to pick off weakened faster Pokemon. Eviolite is used to give Piloswine some more bulk. Tera Dragon lets Piloswine gain a few more resists, with Thick Fat helping the Ice weakness from Tera Dragon.

252 Attack EVs with an Adamant Nature allow Piloswine to hit as hard as possible. 44 Speed EVs allow Piloswine to outspeed uninvested Dudunsparce. The rest of the EVs are used to give Piloswine some bulk.
