Hah, you asked the right person. I am the King of Charizard. I shall give you multiple movesets in order from best to worst. Also I am using for mine Dragon Pulse, Flamethrower, Earthquake, and Air Slash which I find is best. However, here are some other options:

Movesets: Just make sure you have Rapid Spin support if you fear Stealth Rock (I don't.)

1. Physical and Special Attacker
   Flamethrower: Good power, high accuracy, STAB, chance to burn, powered up when Blaze is active, also a good amount of PP.
   Dragon Pulse: Good power, high accuracy, deals with Dragon types.
   Earthquake: Must I say why?
   Rock Slide: Decent power, decent accuracy, good chance to cause flinching, deals with Flying types.

2. Physical Attacker
   Aerial Ace: STAB, decent power, doesn't miss.
   Earthquake: No reason needed.
   Fire Punch: Decent power, high accuracy, STAB, chance to burn, powered up when Blaze is active.
   Swords Dance: Increases attack.

3. Sunny Day
   Dragon Pulse: Good power, high accuracy, deals with Dragon types.
   Flamethrower: Good power, high accuracy, STAB, chance to burn, powered up when Blaze is active, also a good amount of PP.
   Sunny Day: Increases the power of Flamethrower, lowers Water types power, charges up Solarbeam.
   Solarbeam: Charged by Sunny Day, high power, high accuracy, deals with Water and Rock types.

4. Special with Counter
   Counter: Allows for a Physical attack counter.
   Flamethrower: Good power, high accuracy, STAB, chance to burn, powered up when Blaze is active, also a good amount of PP.
   Air Slash: Decent power, decent accuracy, STAB, good chance to cause flinching.
   Dragon Pulse: Good power, high accuracy, deals with Dragon types.

5. Special Attacker
   Flamethrower: Good power, high accuracy, STAB, chance to burn, powered up when Blaze is active, also a good amount of PP.
   Air Slash: Decent power, decent accuracy, STAB, good chance to cause flinching.
   Dragon Pulse: Good power, high accuracy, deals with Dragon types.
   Focus Blast: High power, chance to lower Sp. Def, deals with Rock types.

dragon dance(sadly only learnt through breeding but have got one they are good with this but has to be used properly if u use at the wrong time u could get K.O so be careful BUT it is very good if u can set up with it

Leftovers is for recovery, a vital part of any Tank. Blaze is nice. Evs give it some Physical bulk. Flare Blitz is STAB, along with being killer with Blaze. Another nice bonus is it helps you get to Blaze faster. Earthquake kills. Period. Also nicely covers Electric. ThunderPunch covers Water, while having a parachance. Brick Break breaks Screens, and covers Rock. Nobody expects this. Who uses a Sweeper as a Tank? Me.

This is similar to J98's set, but it is a scarfer with *slightly better coverage.

Negrozard (Charizard) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Solar Power
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Flamethrower
- SolarBeam
- Hidden Power [Rock] / [Ground]
- Dragon Pulse

Basically, Scarf makes it outspeed just about anything, while Solar Power acts as Choice Specs on this set. Flamethrower is huge STAB in the sun. Solarbeam covers rock and water resistance as well as hitting ground types hard. Hidden Power [Rock] covers other Charizards and other fire types that resist STAB, Ground can also be good to hit Heatran and electric types (Flamethrower is stronger on electrics). Dragon Pulse hits resistant dragons and it has a huge neutral coverage.
This guy works great with a Magic Bouncer or Rapid Spinner to deflect or clear Stealth Rocks, as well as a Drought Ninetales. I like the nickname as Negro is Spanish for black, and it sounds way cooler than Blackzard on a Shiny Charizard.

Dragon Dance lets you screw over a few speed EV's and go mixed, this guy works great with it.

Charcoal, Blaze ( Possibly ) , and STAB. Makes Fire Blast a deadly Shock even though it's not getting the Attack boost from Dragon Dance, This guy just isn't himself without Fire STAB.

Earthquake gets great type coverage!

Focus Punch Can take out threats such as Snorlax, ( Who needs curse to live off of physical hits ) for super effective damage quickly and painfully.
With good prediction, this move can be really good.

Double/Triple Battle Charizard

Blaze should be the ability used if you don't have Sunny Day support. If you do have Sunny Day Support, then use Solar Power. Heat Wave is STAB that hits multiple foes. A great move. Air Slash can be used in Double Battles as just a powerful STAB. or in Triple Battles you can use it to hit any foe on the battlefield. Air Cutter hits multiple foes, but has low base Power. Also, it cannot be used with Solar Power. Dragon Pulse gives you neutral coverage only resisted by Heatran. It can also hit any foe on the field in a Triple Battle. The last move you have plenty of choices. Tailwind can be used to support the team (and make Charizard faster) but it can't be used with Solar Power. Protect is just your basic multi-battle move. It protects Charizard from enemy attacks and ally Surfs and Discharges. Focus Blast is type coverage. Fire Pledge can be used if you want to set up a field effect along with Grass Pledge or Water Pledge.

Okay, I love this set. I use it also on a team that gets Agility boosts passed from a Durant, but this works well even without that. Okay you use Substitute three times, which will then activate your Petaya Berry and also Blaze. This will leave you with an incredibly powerful Flamethrower, plus a nicely powered HP Grass and Dragon Pulse, which are there for coverage. It is a great Pokemon, and I use this set for my Charizard. You've probably had to face this guy before.

Okay, I'm going to start off by saying this set only works in the sun.

Flamethrower gives you a nasty STAB move that destroys most Pokemon in one hit.

While Solar Beam Is instant in the sun, And covers all of Charizards Weaknesses.
Dragon Pulse is strictly For Dragon's to take them out as fast as you can.

And Air Slash is For flying STAB, and Also if you REALLY wanna press your luck With flinch hax.

Leftovers is the item of Choice to heal off Sun damage.

Oops, forgot to copy+paste the edited set with Lum Berry. Used to have Leftovers to help with Belly Drum, then I remembered Blaze, so I replaced it with Lum Berry. I always forget to copy, although at least this time I didn't post a Tauros moveset in the Gyarados question.

Special set

In short, I'd go for: Flamethrower / Focus Blast / Dragon Pulse / Substitute

There are 3 possible fire moves you could use for a special Charizard:
- Flamethrower (power 95, accuracy 100)
- Heat Wave (power 100, accuracy 90)
- Fire Blast (power 120, accuracy 85)

It depends on whether you want power or reliability (personally I go for reliability). Or, if you're expecting to switch in, KO, then switch out, Overheat is a great option. For the other moveslots:

Focus Blast takes care of Rock pokemon, among others.

Dragon Pulse is very powerful and takes care of the unpredictable nature of dragons - they could have Thunderbolt, Aqua Tail, Surf, Stone Edge or other super-effective moves.

Ominous Wind is a good one, to cover Ghost/Psychic. Substitute is always an option. Air Slash could be used for a STAB boost, but it doesn't cover anything extra than you already have.

Flamethrower is more reliable but Heat-wave has that little extra bit of power Fire-blast is very strong but it is very inaccurate I would just go with Flamethrower. Dragon-pulse has great neutral coverage and the only things that resist it are steel types which are weak to fire moves. Solar-beam provides coverage against his weaknesses and has insane power. Air-slash is for STAB and Flinch, HP(Ground) covers his Electric type weakness, Sunny-day is there for if he is not on a drought team. Leftovers heals off Solar-power damage though the Salac-berry is another option for some speed.

Hate to make anyone upset, but I have some movesets for the "Beast Beast"
Physical:
Fire Fang:If you insist on Flare Blitz,go ahead. But Flare Blitz is a move I truly hate.
Earthquake:Duh.
Dragon Claw: Deals with those ever so powerful but commonly used Dragon type.
Hone Claws: Adds power to him.
Special:
Heat Wave/Inferno:Both powerful STABs, one with low accuracy and 100% burn, one with good accuracy and a 10% chance.
Air Slash: Good in lots of different points. No big reason really.
Earthquake:Duh.
Dragon Dance: Get this by breeding. Need something to up that Sp. Attack!
