PokeBase Battle Subway Meta-PokeBase Q&A

Pokemon X & Y, new information (Likely spoilers)

21 votes

Like the BW2 thread, this is just a place to post extra information that I may have missed for the new games X&Y. Notes:

  • First check the basic X&Y information page here.
  • UPDATE: the entire X&Y dex has leaked, you can see it right here.
  • Like before, only add information that I've missed and it's been a few days. I am usually aware of most new information as it happens. Don't forget to check the X&Y page above as well as the news on the front page.
  • Game stuff only, not anime (unless it relates to the games, e.g. new Pokemon appeared in the anime before it was revealed in the games).
  • Reliable sources only i.e. official sites like pokemon.com and pokemon.co.jp. Bulbapedia and Serebii are usually good also. No rumours!
  • Maximum 2 images per answer and not huge ones.
  • Please keep the plot spoilers very low, thanks.

And of course, this page will contain SPOILERS so don't come here if you don't want to read them!

Hey you, actually READ the above before posting answers!

Don't add information the second it's revealed because I am probably already working on it!

It has been revealed that the next special form of Vivillon has been announced. This form, the Fancy Pattern, is to be distributed when over 100 million Pokémon have been traded on the GTS and is to tie in with the fact that Vivillon is the most traded Pokémon. The number is currently sitting at 85 million so only has 15 million to go. It is said that the distribution will be worldwide. The actual means of distribution has yet to be confirmed but we'll post as soon as it is

I don't know where else to put this, so hide my answer if this is the wrong place (I've also checked around the site and am pretty sure this isn't up yet).

Pokemon Global Link has announced that the current Global Link linked to Gen V games (Black, White, Black 2 and White 2) will close on 14th January, 2014, in preparation for the move to Gen VI, and the new Pokemon GL will be linked to Pokemon X & Y. The new Pokemon GL is expected to launch in October 2013, coinciding with Pokemon X & Y's release.

It also says that some achievements are transferable, but has not listed which ones yet.

I noticed that for two of the pokemon that the information has yet to be updated for X and Y. Thought I would share this with you. Not only did I look it up on youtube but also I did it myself to make sure it was right.
The first is Magneton to Magnezone
The second is Nosepass to Probopass.

Take the earlier forms to route 13 and level them up and that is how they evolve.

Thanks for any assistance or help this brings to X and Y players.

Another is there is no information on how to get Wynaut or Makuhita on X and Y.
For Wynaut you made a Wobbuffet holding lax incense with someone compatible like ditto and create an egg.
For Makuhita: you mate Hariyama with a Ditto (lets say) and get his form. No, Hariyama does not have to be holding incense.
