Only cards from Diamond and Pearl, Mysterious Treasures, Secret Wonders, and Great Encounters are allowed. However, Energy cards from previous sets are also allowed.
x4 Chimchar (D&P)-Has a zero for 10 attack. Needed for evolution.
x3 Monferno (D&P)-Flame Dance is a great attack, a one for 30 that lets me get an energy card from my discard pile and attach it to Monferno. Fury Swipes is able to do 60 damage for three energy. Add on no retreat cost and Monferno is a powerful Stage 1.
x2 Infernape (D&P)-Meteor Punch is incredible, for one energy having flip coins until I get tails and then doing 30 damage times the number of heads. Flare Blitz is also great, a two for 90 that the energy discard can be used to charge for Flare Up. Also has no retreat cost, making it an amazing Pokemon.
x1 Infernape Lv. X (D&P)-Well, this is simply amazing. First off it gives Infernape an extra 20 HP to work with, which is helpful. Then we get Burning Head, which lets me get a card and then discard the rest of them. Hopefully the cards discarded are energy. That way they can be used to charge up one of the most powerful attacks for the energy in the game. Flare Up is a TWO FOR 150 attack that only works if I have at least eight energy in my discard pile. It then shuffles those eight energy back into my deck. Simply incredible.
x4 Magmar (MT)-A 70 HP basic with a one for 20 attack. Needed for evolution.
x3 Magmortar (SW)-110 HP. Flame Body can keep Magmortar healthy. Flame Blast is alright, doing 20 damage for each energy attached to Magmortar. And Fireball Bazooka is nice, a three for 40 that does 20 damage to two of my opponent's benched Pokemon.
x2 Torchic (GE)-Has a zero for 10 attack. Needed for evolution.
x1 Combusken (GE)-Bulk Up is amazing. A one for 30 that makes my attacks do 30 more damage next turn. So Bulk Up would be a one for 60. And Double Kick, which can usually do only up to 100 damage for three energy, can do 130 damage for three energy.
x4 Felicity's Drawing (GE)-Drawing. Also can be used to discard energy in order to activate Infernape's attack.
x4 Leftovers (GE)-Healing.
x4 Roseanne's Research (SW)-Gets me Pokemon and Energy.
x4 Team Galactic's Mars (SW)-Drawing and randomly chooses a card to put on the bottom of the deck for the opponent.
