PokéBase - Pokémon Q&A

Wall for Ninja (page 2)

Yo Ninja, you seem like the best person to ask about this even though you're inactive here.

You got any good ROMs for these Yu-gi-oh games?
-Dungeon Dice Monsters
-Eternal Duelist Soul
-Duelists of the Roses
-Reshef of Destruction

Eh, shounen's good for good plain old fun (and making money apparently), so I'll keep watching.

I've seen GitS but not for ages, I'l take the refresher course :P. Thanks.

Yo Ninja, I came to consult your superior anime advice. Firstly, any early opinions on My Hero Academia? People are quick calling it as 'the next big shounen'. Still too early to really tell but I can see some potential.

Secondly, do you watch much Sci-fi anime? If so any suggestions?

Nice, you pulled a lot of cards I would love to have. Westvale is probably going to be at least a one of in almost every Standard deck thanks to the move from a three color dominated meta down to the normal two color with fetch rotation. Card is seriously good, as it provides inevitability at very low opportunity cost. Plus, colorless is actually good right now what with the Eldrazi. I'm also going to be building a BR Vampire Madness deck sometime in the future, so I would love me some Olivia.

I noticed you like DC over Marvel, what is your opinion on Batman v Superman? Just curious

Did you go to the Oath prerelease? I went to two of them.

Ended up going 3-1 for the first of them. Had a W/B deck with no real archetype. Had a bunch of bombs though. Got Linvala, who is just as powerful in limited as I expected. Also Ob Nixilis and Emeria Shepherd, which I used to recur my Ob Nixilis. I also got an Endbringer and a Deceiver of Form, but barely got to use them. Hey, at least they soaked up removal. Lost to a BG Eldrazi Swarm deck.

Second one I ended up splitting since I had already spent twelve hours in a row playing Magic and I was basically spent for the day. I'm still surprised I managed to go undefeated with the deck. It was a really grindy WB Allies deck. I would gunk up the board until the point where I could just alpha strike with either two Cliffside Lookout pumps or with a swarm of zombies from Drana's Chosen. The real all-star was Vampire Envoy. A 1/4 flier that gains you a life when it becomes tapped is insanely good on defense. It's a huge player in so many archetypes, working well with Rally, Support, Lifegain, and Cohort.

Promos were lame, Eldrazi Mimic and Dimensional Infiltrator. Pulled a Nissa from prize packs though. Also got a Mirrorpool, which I'm putting in the Mono-Green Eldrazi Ramp deck that I'm building for Standard.

Top 10 Anime of 2015, no sequels:

10: Me! Me! Me!
9: Shokugeki no Souma
8: Gakkougurashi
7: Death Parade
6: Sound! Euphonium
5: Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso
4: Nanatsu no Taizai
3: Parasyte
2: Shirobako
1: One Punch Man

You might have noticed that most of these shows began in Fall 2014, and you'd be right. I had to exclude sequels or barely anything unique to this year would be here. So yeah, ****** year for anime.

Worst Anime of 2015:

Honorable mention to SAO S2, which barely finished before 2015.
5: Dragon Ball Super
4: Charlotte
3: Aldnoah Zero S2
2: Tokyo Ghoul S2
1: Nagato Yuki-chan no Shoushitsu

It pains me to say this, but I think I'm done with Marvel's 616 continuity.  I've been a full blown Marvel fanboy for since I could read, but I don't think I can read them anymore.

I really don't care if Bobby Drake is gay, Thor is female, or if Cap is black.  I've honestly enjoyed some of those stories (Thor and Cap in particular). Marvel did an ok job with Thor, but that has gone nowhere. Cap passes on his mantle a few times. But Iceman? Bobby Drake is an established character, one who's always had a distinct personality. Retconning his entire character is a huge low blow to anyone who gives a damn about the X-Men. It's saying Marvel doesn't care about those fans anymore.  I want the writers to write compelling stories, a character shouldn't be defined by external sources such as angry social justice warriors. But collectively, it's just starting to seem like Marvel is more interested in publishing comics that pander to this new wave of political correctness for the sake of doing it.

Marvel will never be what they once were and I'm willing to accept that. I'm willing to move on to the MCU, which is still wonderful high budget action. I'm still hanging on to DC comics by a thread. I'll still always love reading new Deadpool material, and I'll still love picking up some alternate realities. Sadly for now, I will no longer be making my weekly stop to the comic book store to  pick up all the new material.

All New All Different is the beginning of a new era in Marvel Comics, so there's not going to be a better time for my sendoff.

I encourage you all to stay away from Marvel Comics until we learn that they can respect the dedicated readers.

Love him or hate him, TB is a great guy. I enjoy his passion for the community and the average consumer. I don't agree with TB's opinions a lot but his passion for games and his excellent presentation keeps me coming back to his videos.

For those of you unaware, he just announced that his cancer has developed to the point of it being incurable, as well as having a life expectancy of 2-3 years.

"**** this stupid disease. The average is going up after I'm done with it." He's a stubborn guy, he'll pull through.  It takes a lot to be cynical and hopeful.

Best of luck to him and his loved ones.
