I think that better is:

  • Dark Pulse (Screw you, Ghosts and Psychics)
  • Aura Sphere (STAB, screw you, Accuracy, Normals, Steels, Rocks, Ices and Darks)
  • Dragon Pulse (Screw you, Dragons)
  • ExtremeSpeed (priority)

EDIT:
Now, instead of ExtremeSpeed, I´m using:

  • Psychic (Screw you, Fightings and Poisons)

OR

  • Flash Cannon (STAB, screw you, Rocks
    and Ices)

Also Flash Cannon = Screw you fairy types :P
I luv the "screw yous" it gives a nice touch to it :)
Mega Lucario
252 Spd/252 SAtk/4 HP
Aura Sphere
Flash Cannon
Dark Pulse
Dragon Pulse

If you have Mega Lucario, you kind of have to use Flash Cannon cuz of Adaptability.
I use that same moveset but instead of Dark Pulse i use calm mind or swords dance. I realized that i should use dark pulse instead as it takes out his weaknesses, but swords dance can be useful if you use extreme speed (with lucario being more Sp.Atk) or just calm mind to increase his Special Attack stat. I think maybe if you want to replace one of those moves with a stat boost like i did its probably better to replace Dragon Pulse as it is not a STAB or counter Lucaro's weaknesses.
Lucario is a fighting type, he doesn't need coverage over Ice or Rock types.

Lucario (M) @ Air Balloon

Trait: Inner Focus

EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd

Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)

  • Swords Dance
  • Hi Jump Kick
  • Shadow Claw
  • Ice Punch

This is my physical Lucario, ( I'll post special in a minute ).

Jolly + 252 Spd lets him out speed what he needs to, tons of threats.
Air Balloon won't be broken by S-rocks, and will let him by pass his Earthquake weakness... for a turn. In that turn, you can set up Swords dance.

Jolly will carry you speed wise for a while, if someone switches out from something like a choiced Earthquaker, or something that just generally isn't as good.

Hi Jump Kick is his most powerful possible STAB attack, Close Combat can be used too, but I use Hi Jump kick for the extra power, and to lure foes into my....

Shadow Claw. Ghost + Fighting + Ice won't be not very effective or not effective at all on any pokemon. Shadow Claw is primarily there for the ghosts that will come out after you use Hi Jump Kick, or possibly be switched into to screw you up ( - 50% ).

Ice Punch is for dragons and ground types, you can hit them pretty darn hard.

Possible Subs:

Hi Jump Kick could be subbed out for Close Combat.
Swords Dance or Ice Punch could be subbed for Extreme Speed or Bullet Punch, but I really don't reccomend doing that, this set runs without priority mainly.

How about Crunch over Shadow Claw? Crunch hits only one less Pokemon for a Super-effective hit, and with 10 more base power and a better secondary effect, Crunch is better than Shadow Claw. Also, I'd say Steadfast is better than Inner Focus.
A. I just like the Crit rate, Crunch is always an option.
B. I'd rather just not flinch and move on sometimes, because they still get their free damage, and I just get a speed boost the other way around. Instead it's more like they wasted a turn.
Either way, they're both viable options.
Did you guys know that Lucario is not actually weak to Psyhic, Flying and Ghost types? It is only weak to Fire, Fighting and Ground.

LC Moveset for Riolu

Riolu (F) @ Eviolite
Trait: Prankster
EVs: 196 HP / 196 Def / 116 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Circle Throw
- Roar
- Sleep Talk
- Rest

Priority Rest and priority Sleep Talk thanks to Prankster. Priority Sleep Talk means that Riolu can use +1 Roar and +1 Circle Throw.

EVs+Eviolite give it bulk so that if Sleep Talk selects Rest or if a foe uses priority moves then Riolu is able to take it.

It would be best to team it up with a hazard setter such as Dwebble, as forcing your foe constantly out will quickly take its toll on the foe. Houndour is a useful ally, as it takes down Ghost types. And a Ghost type of your own is needed to spinblock. Make sure you also have a teammate able to take down Murkrow, as its ability to stop Riolu with priority Taunt and then launch Brave Birds at it makes Murkrow the best counter to Riolu.

This set gives Riolu the niche it needs to compete with the other Fighting types of LC, as its ability to stop set-up sweepers as well as wear down the foe with hazards gives it great use on a stall team.

Very interesting. It's similar to the copycat movement.
This seems like a staller

Probably the best moveset would be:

aura sphere, it is the perfect fighting type special move never miss

90 power.

psychic, type coverage 100 accuracy 90 power.

dragon pulse, 100 accuracy 90 power.

extreem speed, best hit first move kills alakazam 100 accuracy 80

power.

Physical set nature Jolly evs 252attack 252 speed 4hp

Close combat(STAB)

Swords dance(Boost attack)

Extreem speed(Makes up for average speed)

E-quake/Stone edge(Coverage)

Lucario (M) @ Choice Scarf

Trait: Inner Focus
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Hi Jump Kick
- Earthquake
- ExtremeSpeed
- Ice Punch

Hi Jump Kick is outstanding on Lucario. Its very powerful plus it gets the STAB boost,Choice Band Boost, and Adamant nature Boost.Say hello to your Hi Jump Kick Sweeper :P.Earthquake is excellent coverage it hits many types of Pokemon and packs a punch.ExtremeSpeed Is for when you know you can't OHKO a Pokemon. You get protity thats a plus.Ice Punch covers your deadly ground weakness trust me you would want to keep this move on him.

Adamant and Choice-Band? Maybe Jolly with Band or Adamant with Scarf because a lot of Pokemon capable of OHKOing you will out speed you otherwise.
Hi jump kick is a breeding move, and this guy isn't breeding lucario. He's been given one (I assume it doesn't have breeding moves
btw, great moveset, though I also recommend Aura Sphere.
Aura Sphere would be bad, however, because it's trained physically.
Why did you choose Extreme Speed?  You already have 252 Speed EVs AND a Choice Scarf, and if your stragety is to use a move to lower its HP and then finish it off with Extreme Speed, it won't work because of the Choice Scarf.
How about drain punch to cover Hi jump kick?

Nature: Modest
Ev's 252 Sp atk 128 def 128 sp def
Role: Sweeper

Nasty Plot ( I love this move, and when using small EV's in defenses, he can easily set it up )

Vacuum Wave ( Priority and Main sweeping move, Nasty plot makes power very useable )

Dark Pulse ( For the Psychics than come into question )

Dragon Pulse ( Coverage )

Item: Wise Glasses or Leftovers

Point In Battle:

A little bit more of defensive bulk, gives him enough time to set up a nasty plot or two, Then he can priority sweep with Vacuum Wave, having few threats, And having good coverage agaisn't threats that may approach him.

This is my moveset for my Level 100 Lucario. I defeated every pokemon I come across even if I'm at a disadvantage I still win.
Aura Sphere
Close Combat
Dragon Pulse
ExtremeSpeed

answered Nov 30, 2011 by Lucario55076
u obviously havent battled competitively
Be constructive, its not that bad for a mixed set. Items/Evs would be useful though?
And natures
I was talking about before my lucario is level 100 It is level 100 now.....I guess I should have put more details on that comment......
Lol! This is the same moveset for my Lucario!
Awesome Movest!
Two fighting moves though :/ you really only should have one
You should add evs, natures, items, etc. and you should really have 1 fighting type move and focus on covering weaknesses
Close Combat ---> Ice Punch
Shadow Ball > Dragon Pulse

This guy is one of my favorite Pokemon. He has a great move pool, great stats, and is very versatile.

Physical Lucario
Ability: Justified
Nature: Jolly (+Spe, -SpA)
EVs: 252 Atk, 252 Spe, 4 HP
Item: Wide Lens
- Hi Jump Kick- Lucario's most powerful physical fighting move
- Ice Punch- coverage
- Hone Claws- boost your attack and accuracy
- Stone Edge- high power coverage

Special Lucario
Ability: Steadfast
Nature: Timid (+Spe, -Atk)
EVs: 252 SpA, 252 Spe, 4 HP
Item: Wise Glasses
- Aura Sphere- Lucario's most powerful special fighting move
- Shadow Ball/Dark Pulse/HP Ice- more coverage
- Nasty Plot- boost your special attack
- Dragon Pulse/Psychic- coverage

Suggestion for physical: Nice strategy with the Wide Lens, but HJK covers both the types Iron Tail covers, and HJK gets STAB AND a higher base power anyway. So lose the Iron Tail for Blaze Kick or something like that for more coverage. Same with Flash Cannon for the special one, go with Shadow Ball, or Dark Pulse for flinching. Can't believe I haven't answered this Q myself.
thanks for your suggestion I'll definitely put those moves in my moveset
And BTW, Nasty Plot doesn't raise accuracy. Only Hone Claws does that kind of thing. Be careful when you cut+paste stuff like that, as I'm pretty sure you did.
I just made the changes. Thanks to both of you for spotting my mistakes and making your suggestions.
Same person Lol

In my opinion I think this is a great Lucario moveset that's easy to get!

Lucario (M) Item: Black Belt
Ability: Steadfast
Nature: Jolly

Moves:
Aura Sphere (STAB,never miss)
Metal Claw (STAB,raises attack sometimes)
Drain Punch (STAB,regains HP)
Dark Pulse(covers psychic and ghost types with ease)

answered Dec 7, 2011 by Rioluboy
EVs? Any EVs in there?
Wow. Someone who puts natures AND ability/trait but forgot the EVs. Jolly would be Absolutely TERRIBLE on a mixed set, how about Naive or Hasty/Neutral. 3 STAB moves, really? Wow...
Definitely use BP over Metal Claw if going for Steel STAB at all. Steel type sucks in comparison to Fighting.
Did you guys know that Lucario is not actually weak to Psyhic and Ghost types? It is only weak to Fire, Fighting and Ground.

LUCARIO, my favorite pokemon, lots of Fighting type maneuvers are used against him however so it's best to prepare him for it. Only thing I couldn't prepare for with him is against Ground types.

Close Combat- STAB, best to give him a PP Max on this maneuver to raise PP.
Psychic Best to use to cover the fighting type pokemon that fight Lucario
Earthquake - Great for coverage against fire types
Dark Pulse - Great for fighting Psychic and Ghosts

answered Apr 17, 2012 by Lucario92
Instead of Dark Pulse, use Shadow Ball.  They are the same, except Dark Pulse is not very effective on a couple of types, and Shadow Ball can't affect Normal types (but it's a Fighting type, duh).  Anyway,  I'd suggest that you ditch Dark Pulse for Shadow Ball.

I know this may not be the most strategic moveset, but this one can really get anyone far.

Aura Sphere - Do I need an explanation? His signature move.
Dark Pulse - The best Sp.Atk. Dark-type move, with 80 power and 100 accuracy.
Earthquake - 100 power/accuracy, and really helps with fire-types.
Stone Edge - Another powerful move. Covers a couple more types.

Again, this isn't strategic for self-defense. This is more of a moveset for targeting a wide range of opponents. This works especially well against most pokemon in the Pokemon League in B/W.

i would go for

aura sphere

close combat

extreme speed

dragon pulse

good luck!!!!
You are then obviously NOT a 'Unova Master.'
using earth quake is a good cover! got my upvote here!
copycat!

Lucario
Item: Life Orb/Focus Sash
Ability: Inner Focus
EV's: 252 Atk 252 spd 4 HP
Nature: Jolly

  • Hi Jump Kick
  • Hone Claws/Sword Dance
  • Bone Rush/Earthquake
  • Ice Punch

Hi Jump Kick is the best fighting move lucario have access to. Hone Claw gives better attack and the accurary boost makes up for Hi Jump Kicks disadvantage. Sword dance are also a good option. Bone Rush/Earthquake are just good physical coverage. Ice Punch can take out those stubborn dragon types.

Why Mind plate when you have no psychic move?
@Pwnyta: Good Point! (Back to me) How about Shadow Ball (OR Keep Dark Pulse), Psychic, and Nasty Plot instead, as (Read mblinginballer's suggestion on why Flash Cannon should be removed) It needs the boost, so give it Nasty Plot or Calm Mind, and Xtremespeed is NEGATIVELY affected by that modest nature.
You should get rid of Extreme Speed.  Priority may be good, but it's better to have more coverage.

People tend to affiliate lukario as a physical attacker so here is an easy way to fix it.
Lucario@ Life Orb
Trait: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 SpA/252 Spd/ 4 Hp
Moves:
Aura Sphere
Hidden power(Ice)
Vacuum Wave
Dark Pusle/Nasty Plot

Hope this helps ^^

answered Dec 4, 2011 by papakyi10
A nature could help.
Why vacuum wave?
It's Priority and STAB. So awesome :P
Yes, that occurred to me, but ExtremeSpeed would still do more damage. Oh right this is a special set...... stupid me. This post was never here! :3

Lucario

I have read some comments and people like it if Lucario has Dark Pulse and Stone Edge for type coverage against Psyhic and Flying Pokemon. I admit it, they are pretty good moves, but believe it or not, Lucario is not weak to those two types. I know this because I researched it. The only types it is weak to is Fire, Fighting and Ground. Unfortunately, it doesn't learn ANY Flying and Water type moves, except for Rain Dance. So here is a moveset, that would bee pretty cool because it defends itself from types it is ACTUALLY weak to.

Psyhic against Fighting types.
Stone Edge against Fire types.
Aura Sphere as everyone else said, Fighting moves usually do pretty good against Ground types.
Close Combat, or some strong Steel type move your choice.

Source:
http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Lucario

NOW
Replace Psyhic with Shadow Ball,Close Combat for Flash Cannon, and Stone Edge with Earthquake.

Lucario takes neutral damage from flying and psychic types due to the fact he is also a steel type...please do research before saying something
whoops
...
no, flying types are super effective against my lucario.
Flying and Psychic types do neutral damage to Lucario because it's Steel typing resists both.
Then my game is obviously glitched.

Maybe getting rid of hi jump kick and put close combat instead
Why Swords Dance?

Physical
Item life orb
Evs 252 attack, 252 speed. 4 hp
Swords dance
Close combat
Crunch
Extreme speed

Crunch is for dealing with physics, because I find them annoying. E speed is priority. Swords dance makes for a powerful close combat.
