losing 1⁄2 of its maximum HP. High Jump Kick cannot be used if Gravity is in effect.
Changes
- In Generations 1-3, High Jump Kick has 85 base power.
- In Generation 4, High Jump Kick has 100 base power.
- In Generations 1-4, High Jump Kick has 20 PP.
- In Generations 1-5, this move's name is formatted as Hi Jump Kick.
- In Generation 1, the crash damage is always 1 HP. In Generation 2, the crash damage is 1⁄8 of the damage the attack would have inflicted, while in Generations 3-4 it is 1⁄2 of that potential damage.
- In Generations 2-3, the user does not crash if High Jump Kick is used against a Ghost-type Pokémon. In Generation 4 it does crash, but since it would not deal damage the user takes damage equal to half of the target's maximum HP.
