I personally would go with a dual moveset. I have three Lucarios and each is special in its own way.

First Lucario: My main one
Nature: Mild
ev's: 158 atk., 100 speed, 252, spatk
moveset:
Aura Sphere: (for STAB and acc.)
Earthquake: (for dealing with Fire types)
Blaze Kick: (for it's power/effects)
Psychic/Dark Pulse:(to de3al with either Fighting types, or to make her moveset unable to defend against by any pokemon)
I think it should know
Dark Pulse: to defeat psychic
Close Combat: Its a good move
Aura Sphere: Because it defeats almost every pokemon
Earthquake: Defeats ground and fire types

God, why are there so many physical sets?! I mean Lucario already has a higher special attack. Just sayin.... But yeah. So here's my set. It's a special set, if you haven't found out yet.

Nature: Modest/Timid

Evs: 252 Special Attack 252 Speed 4 HP

Item: Life Orb/ Focus Sash

Ability: Steadfast (Now don't criticize me for this. I've always like this one more. Gives you a speed boost. )

Moves:

Calm Mind/ Nasty Plot- Depends whether you want to go full special sweeper, or balance things out a little. I went with Calm Mind.

Aura Sphere- STAB. Just a great move. Never misses too.

Dragon Pulse- Strong, Special move. Coverage for dragons.

Dark Pulse- Used to piss of Psychic and Ghost types with and unexpected Dark type move. I just love doing that! :3

Other options: Psychic- Covers other Fighting types and Poisons. Poison types will be so P.O.ed that they can't attack you, but you have a super-effective move.... If using this, replace Dragon Pulse.
Flash Cannon- STAB. Also great accuracy. Deals with pesky ice types such as Sheer Cold using Walreins. (And there goes your win-streak thanks to hax.... ) Again, replace Dragon Pulse if using this.

Well that's it. Rate well!

i prefer physical sets over special I don't know why

basically this is my favorite set

adament/jolly nature

252atk 252spd 4hp

close combat (STAB and super effective agansist a lot of poke's)

earthquake (same as close combat but weaker and not STAB)

stone edge ( for pesky and annoying flying type's)

swords dance (2 increase its atk stat egnough 2 sweep)

i also think some people should use ninjask baton pass with substitute swords dance and any other moves ability/ speed boost / set up sub and S D few speed boosts and you can easily sweep

Special Lucario
Lucario(F) @ Expert Belt
Timid Nature: 252 speed, 252 SpA, 4Hp

~Nasty Plot
~Vacuum Wave
~Water Pulse
~Dragon Pulse/Dark Pulse

If you get outsped, you may want to try to quiver pass from venomoth. In that case I would get rid of Nasty Plot and replace Vacuum Wave with Aura Sphere.

Lucario (M) @ Focus Sash
Trait : Justified
EVs : 252 Atk, 252 Spd, 4 HP
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SpAtk)

  • Hi Jump Kick / Close Combat
  • Crunch
  • Bullet Punch / ExtremeSpeed
  • Ice Punch / Swords Dance

Physical Lucario works better, I think.

Hi Jump Kick is amazing power and STAB, making it 195 Base Power, and when super-effective an amazingly strong attack. Close Combat if you don't want to risk the accuracy.

Crunch is for coverage.

Bullet Punch or ExtremeSpeed is priority, bullet punch if you're afraid of ghosts switching in to take the ExtremeSpeed.

Ice Punch is for extra coverage, or Swords Dance for attack boosting.

Personally, I think High Jump Kick is to much risk since it does half your HP's damage if you miss to yourself...i would go for a special attack Lucario

Nature:Rash (+SPAttack, -SPDef)
Item:Focus Sash
Ability:Inner Focus/Steadfast

-Aura Sphere(STAB, never misses)
-Flash Cannon(STAB, can lower special defence)
-Dragon Pulse(coverage, good BP)
-Dark Pulse(coverage, good BP)

you could also use Psychic instead of Dark Pulse because of the higher BP, but I like Dark Pulse because of the flinching chance...its up to you...oow btw, with ability Steadfast you can raise your speed unexpected if your opponent uses a flinching move...byebye speedy suckers

My ideal Lucario:

Nature: Quirky (no stat increased; no stat decreased)
Personality: Quick to flee (enhances speed)
Held Item: Expert Belt
Moves:
Aura Sphere (100% Accuracy and power will be x1.5 because it's a Fighting-Type Move)
Psychic (covers weakness to Fighting-Type Moves)
Ice Punch (covers weakness to Ground-Type Moves)
Earthquake (covers weakness to Fire-Type Moves)

*With Lucario knowing all of these moves, all of his (her) weaknesses will be covered and he (she) will be able to attack all Pokémon. (Not including Shedinja with Wonder Guard).

Priority Sweep Lucario @ Silk Scarf
Adamant Nature (+Att, -SpA), Ability- Justified
252Att, 156HP, 50Def, 50SpD

~ Swords Dance
~ Close Combat
~ Extremespeed
~ Bullet Punch

Pairs great with Espeon's dual screens + draws out dark attack boosts. After 2.5 boosts, Extremespeed will OHKO just about any sweeper. Defense and HP allows for multiple boosts behind screens. Bullet Punch handles Gengar and Terrakion which would be problematic for Lucario under normal circumstances. Close Combat delivers tremendous power only needed for slower walls. Switch out on Gliscor and Jellicent as they can take a boosted Close combat or bullet punch and either burn or take out Lucario. It handles everything else nicely.
