Electric (type)

There are relatively few Electric Pokemon; in fact only four were added in the third generation. Most are based on rodents or inanimate objects.

Electric Pokemon are very good defensively, being weak only to Ground moves. Eelektross is one of only three Pokemon to have no weaknesses due to its ability, Levitate.

The chart below shows the strength of the Electric type against every type combination. The numbers in the squares show the fraction damage the move will do (i.e. ½ means 50% damage and not very effective, while 4 means 400% - super-effective).

For example, look where the Grass and Poison types intersect to see how good a Electric-type move would be against a pokemon like Venusaur. You will see that it is 50%.
