Pokémon Bank delayed due to high demand
General News — 27 December, 2013
Pokémon Bank, the new service that will let you store Pokémon online and move them between games, has been delayed. It was released Christmas Day in Japan and immediately saw huge demand, making the service overloaded.
The apps have now been removed from the Japanese eShop and have been delayed elsewhere (America, Europe and Australia). Anyone who downloaded the apps already can use the service. The trial period will be extended to accommodate this. There is no ETA on when the apps will be available again.
Update Jan 22: Pokemon Bank has been launched in Japan. Nintendo are carefully monitoring the load.
Update Feb 4: Pokemon Bank has launched in Europe and Australia! No word on American release yet.
Update Feb 5: Pokemon Bank has launched in America!
