Effects

Barrier raises the user's Defense by two stages.

Stats can be raised to a maximum of +6 stages each.

Changes

In Generations 1-5, Barrier has 30 PP.

Z-Move effects

When a Pokémon is holding Psychium Z and uses its Z-Power, Barrier turns into Z-Barrier and eliminates any stat drops applied to the user, in addition to its usual effect as above.
