Changes

  • In Generation 1, Explosion has 170 base power.
  • In Generations 1-4, the opponent's defense stat is temporarily halved when calculating the damage. This gives Explosion an effective power of 500 (or 340 in Gen 1).

Z-Move effects

When a Pokémon is holding Normalium Z and uses its Z-Power, Explosion turns into Breakneck Blitz and has base power 200.
